Fast and simple setup. Works as intended and while not as fast as the WD SN850 SSD of the same capacity in my PS5, it’s impressively fast nonetheless.
Moving Series games from my external HDD to the expansion card happened seamlessly but I did have to remove it from my Xbox Series X and restart the console before I could play games from it since I kept seeing an error. If you face issues, try reinserting the card and restarting your console — it should work then.
I would have rated it 4 stars instead of 5 considering how expensive it is but that’s how it is for us taxpayers in India and not a fault of Microsoft/Seagate or the seller so I didn’t deduct any stars.
Overall, a recommended purchase if you’re willing to digest the cost and want to avoid frequently moving Series games between the internal SSD and an external HDD.

Just plug and play . A must have for series x but a bit expensive .
Feel like I got taken for a ride with this one, this is a far cry from 2TB. The correct size for 2 TB to properly report as 2GB would be 1024 bytes * 1024 KB * 1024 MB * 1024 GB… some HDD manufacturers fudge this by making it 1000GB per TB, but at least give you 1000 full ACTUAL Gigabytes aka 1024 bytes * 1024 KB * 1024 MB * 1000 GB (which then is reported as about 931GB per TB) … but no, they actually went EXTRA fake with these… this expansion card actually only reports 1.8TB of storage capacity on Xbox Series consoles… where did a full 10% of the advertised storage capacity go?!
Well it’s quite simple… if you COMPLETELY ignore 1024 being the official way to measure ANY storage capacity, and just give the user: 1000 bytes * 1000 KB * 1000 MB * 1000 GB… you get about 909 ACTUAL Gigabytes per TB
Problem is: NONE OF THESE WAYS OF MEASURING BYTES ARE CORRECT.
1 KB is 1024 bytes, not 1000 1 MB is 1024 KB, not 1000 1 GB is 1024 MB, not 1000 and 1 TB is 1024 GB, not 1000
For a storage medium as EXTREMELY expensive as this, it’s infuriating to see that I did not get anywhere CLOSE to thr advertised storage space for this…
So, despite the product being the highest class expansion drive available, and being as fast as internal storage NVMe, much like what they did with the storage capacity, I have to cut 10-20% off what could have been a 5 star rating… give me 100% of the 2TB and I’ll give you 100% of the rating that would come along with it, deal?

Using this made me realise why there is a huge price difference between this and SSD. I have this as well as a 1TB SSD attached to my Xbox Series X. I can easily play any game stored on expansion card directly from it without having to move it to internal storage. Whereas while trying to do the same with an external SSD, I was only able to play older games from it and that too with visible lag at some places.

Firstly let’s get the singular negative out of the way. It’s very overpriced. For 1tb and costs the same as my xbox series s did, I paid the price because I was desperate for the extra space as I could only fit 2 xbox games on my S and there was a lot of releases I wanted to play without deleting the 2 games already on my xbox. The positives are, it’s small and compact fits easily into the back of the xbox, I managed to install 8 large games and a few small games to the card and only take up half storage, it’s very easy to use, just plug it in and away you go, no need to setup. I’m very happy with it, just my bank balance is not

In case you are worried that the main SSD will slow down over time then just load games first on this external SSD and let it degrade in speed over time, afterall it’s replacable.
Another point of interest for prospective buyers would be if they have the XBox game pass and want to try multiple games at once and are running out of storage, specifically if they have a Series S and not X.
In either case it’s a buy if you can afford kind of product and it’s costly but worth it.
Have fun playing games as well rather then just buying stuff and letting it sit someplace, eating dust.
