Cons: I’ve used Redgear gamepads for a long time, so I noticed slight lag in Bluetooth connectivity even after updating firmware. Apart from that it’s overpriced, box was sealed but when took out the controller it seemed dusty which surprised me, no USB cable or receiver included ( you’ll need a type c cable to update the firmware and configure the controller), I have to pair it everytime I connect it with my PC and other devices, doesn’t comes with a free gamepass.
Pro: Premium build, supports Steam Deck, battery lasts longer than rechargeable controllers, great dpad.

The controller works great with PC. However, out of the box the Bluetooth feature does not play well with Steam. In order to get it to work, there are a few steps you’ll have to do.
1. Download the Xbox Accessory App on the Microsoft store. 2. Connect the controller with a USB-C cable 3. Update the controller 4. Pair with windows Bluetooth devices 5. Start steam and it should recognize it as Xbox Series X/One controller.
5(a). If you paired it before doing these steps (like me). Follow steps 1-3, then go to “Bluetooth devices” remove the device and repair it. Then it should work with no issue.
Build: The controller itself is very sturdy and has nice textured grips on the back as well as the triggers. Size is pretty similar to previous Xbox controllers.
Battery: I can’t really comment on battery life since I just got it but I would imagine many of you will have some form of rechargeable battery.
D- pad is good change and more responsive and snappy than the previous controller. Overall if you have a xbox one controller you are good if not then you can buy this one.

it works great, i thought buying this would cause stick drift close to straight away like all controllers, however i was surprised. it’s been around 5 months since i’ve bought it and i’m only just getting the most tiniest bit of stick drift which is so unnoticeable, the only reason i’m getting the stick drift is because i play on a 4 right stick deadzone due to having Kontrol Freaks. but other than that, the quality is amazing, the controller is amazing, it works and feel amazing and it’s held up to the test.

First off, the controller has some good positives – the trigger and bumper buttons feel much better than previous generations (I had an Xbox 360 controller that lasted 12 years). The ABXY buttons on the other hand emit an unsatisfying click every time you press them. Now on to the bad – my controller’s trigger buttons have stopped working 14 months after buying – they now get stuck in the triggered position, and as a result I can no longer use it for gaming of any kind.
On to their support – You cannot use their online support portal for the controller as the site doesn’t work, and there are no emails or chat based agents you can use to reach Microsoft. The only option is to call their toll free number, which leads to an international call center where the response is – if it’s out of warranty (even by just 1.5 months) it is better to buy a new one as there are no repair options. Like I’d mentioned earlier, the Xbox 360 controller I bought in 2009 lasted me until Dec 2020 with heavy usage. This new one has lasted barely 1 year with light usage over weekends – product quality seems to be non-existent. Even the Elite controllers by Microsoft have massive complaints. Buyer beware.

Pros: Excellent build quality. Good haptics. Best for pc gaming – seamlessly connects wirelessly with pc and mobile. Can also be used just by plugging in with a type c cord too. Cons: Although one set of batteries last around 40-45 hrs. No rechargeable batteries provided with the controller.you will have to buy a play and charge kit seperately by Microsoft for rechargeable batteries.

It’s very comfortable to hold and the buttons are very responsive.
The audio jack and the custom settings won’t work over Bluetooth. Most of the features are limited to wired mode, it should have been advertised properly.
