First of all I would like to thank Microsoft India and Amazon for officially launching the Xbox one X. I had skipped the original Xbox one because it was inferior specwise to the competitor. But when Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X I absolutely fell in love with the specs, small size and matte black looks. I decided that I must upgrade to Xbox One X. But the problem was that I didn’t want to get it from unauthorized resellers. But Microsoft officially made their most powerful console available in India and I am grateful for it. This shows that Microsoft cares about the growing number of gamers in India. Now coming to what’s in the box
What’s in the box:

Sadly there are no headphones included. I would have loved for headphones because I plan on playing Overwatch. (Xbox 360 included earphones)
Coming to the console. This thing is built like a tank. It is very heavy and dense. I remember my Xbox 360 S console used to creak and squeak when handled. None of that can be found here. Microsoft nailed the build quality of the Xbox one X. When switched on it barely makes any sound but that’s because I didn’t play any Xbox one games yet. One thing I’ve noticed is that the console although doesn’t get hot when turned on, it doesn’t cool down as quickly when switched off. I really feel that beside the hefty price tag Microsoft has done everything right with this console. Now you may ask why I don’t game on PC. Answer is I do game on a PC I built myself. It has a GTX 1070 in it. But I hate gaming on PC for one simple reason. Windows. Windows is the main reason why I hate gaming on a PC. Consoles have much more streamlined operating system that won’t crash or perform slower due to some driver issue etc. I believe I’ve made a worthy investment in the Xbox one X and I whole heartedly recommend this beautiful console over the PS4 PRO.

Its been two months with this console and I won’t recommend you buy it for the following reasons:
– Very limited selection of games and even fewer AAA titles. The games are expensive when compared to the competition on Amazon.
– Wireless controller isn’t truly wireless. You have to spend another 2 grand on buying the battery attachment. If you don’t then you will have to play with the cable attached to the controller. This is unacceptable as the competition offers a truly wireless controller.
– Requires you to spend on a 4K TV which on average will cost you as much as the console itself. On a normal 1080p TV you can’t make out the difference between this and the competition.
– It requires you to register with Microsoft. Once you do so it will be permanently linked to your I’d, and this makes it impossible to sell. Hence you can account for a zero resale value.

– After playing for a few days, I must say the console as such is really good. And I believe that it’s pretty good or better than ps4 when it comes to proper quality games (native 4k n 60fps).
– But since the number of titles that really make use of all that power is quite less, it’s difficult to recommend Xbox one over ps4
– I’ve both of them now (ps4 pro n Xbox one x), so I’m not gonna miss anything n kind of love both consoles.
– But looking at how things are going, I might put for more focus on Xbox with the common games between ps4 n xbox. PS4 I’ll buy the exclusives only
For eg, red dead redemption is best played on Xbox one x than than ps4 pro. So I would go for Xbox, not ps4
– Exclusives such as last of us, uncharted…. I’ll go with ps4.
Pros:
– extremely powerful and can do native 4k at 60fps. Gears of war and Forza horizon 4 are a joy to play.
– extremely quiet. Coming from a ps4 pro which sounds like a jet engine when playing God of War, Xbox one x is extremely silent, though it does get hot.
– game pass, provides a list of 100+ games including 20+ extremely popular and new games at just 315Rs per month approx (2097Rs for 6 months). This is not found on PS4, which though provides ps Now, is no match due to the streaming constraints.
Cons:
– buggy and lacklustre interface. Reminds me of older windows 10 which can be quite frustrating. Ps4 UI is way more user friendly.
– awfully big download n installation. With 4k n HDR comes ridiculous download sizes for games. So you will be restricted to Max 7 or 8 games installation as each game can cross 60-70gb and some even 100gb.
Overall, if you don’t have a console and thinking between ps4 n Xbox, go with ps4. But if you are like me, having owned a ps4 away, go ahead and buy the Xbox one x. You won’t be disappointed. I specifically say the Xbox one x, since the one S isn’t as powerful compared to the one X and so the overall gameplay might be disappointing.
