The device itself is good but you won’t have a lot of fun talking to it.
The speaker is like a small twitter with absolutely no bass in it as expected.
I have a echo dot so it looks even boring if you compare to it.
The main standpoint is the the size and portability. Also the charger inbuilt.
I am sure it may be useful to you but don’t buy it to play music on it. The great thing is that you can connect a external speaker to it using 3.5mm jack or Bluetooth.
Go for it if you think it’s price is justified compared to echo dot.

Not great for music so it’s best to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker to enjoy an echo dot like experience . It’s got very powerful microphones so it can’t go wrong for voice commands.
For the rest it just functions like the echo dot .
What I love about it is that it’s very space economical and can be plugged in to any 5A wall outlet and is within the range of Wi-Fi coverage.
We live in a two storey large house and I personally use it in my kitchen as part of an intercom client to pass on messages from anywhere.
The other advantage of being in my kitchen is that it can update your shopping list with just a voice command . I also use it to control my kitchen lights.

This is the entry level Alexa device. Performs all functions well. I use it to control my TV and AC. When paired with a Crabtree smart IR remote, gives access to all AC modes and temperature settings and also sets timer. Equipped with an aux jack to connect an existing speaker and a usb port capable of charging phones.
This is NOT a music playback device. It’s a basic Alexa device to control smart homes and interface with other Alexa devices. If music is required, use an existing speaker and an Aux cable. Got this for 900 rs in latest sale, worked like a charm. Got it up and running 30 secs after opening it. Voice recognition is good, picks up even a slightly low, slurred or jumbled voice easily.
Only 1 irritant – when AC timer is nearing 0, it starts loud beeping to indicate final countdown. This is highly irritating. Some option should be given to turn down the volume or turn off the beep fully

The Echo Flex may not be received in a good light internationally, but trust me, for India, this is the best Echo device. Let me explain-
In India, most people have their electrical outlets at 1 to 1.5 metre above the ground, and usually away from any tall furniture. Hence, the echo Flex makes perfect sense, as you would no longer have to find a spot to place your echo dot, and manage the nasty cable hanging from the wall.
Secondly, most people buying Echo devices would be using it for two main purposes- (1) Listening to music, and (2)Using Alexa voice commands to control smart devices or know the weather, etc.. For listening to music, most people already have at least a set of 2.1 speakers with Bluetooth. In that case, connect this to your speakers and listen to a music in much more detail. And the sound quality of the Echo dot is not that good compared to your speakers to begin with. And for stuff other than music, the built in speaker is enough for a decent sized room.
Also the echo flex includes a USB port which can supply upto 1.5A. That’s incredible. And talking about the USB port, it supports third party add-ons like motion sensors, etc.. Now, I am not sure if or when the add-ons will be available in India, but I really wish they are, specially the motion sensor.
Lastly, it is the cheapest Echo device with a built in speaker, as of now.
Also, kudos to Amazon for the setup experience. It was basically plugging the echo to the outlet, and waiting for a few seconds. That’s it. Seriously. No need to touch the mobile phone. But, there is a catch. It only works if you have a previous echo or fire TV, or anything for which you have your home wifi network credentials saved in your Amazon account, and you have opted for the “Link this device to your Amazon account” option in the product page while ordering. Yet, it’s an amazing gesture towards convenience.
The only downsides with the echo flex, to me, are it’s massive size(which can cover the socket or switch next to it if they are too close) and the fact that the USB port cannot be controlled.
Clearly, the Echo Flex is not for everyone. It depends on where and how you want to use Alexa and Amazon services. For me, this is the best thing ever. I have a wall outlet just above my computer table, and I have connected the PC speakers to the echo flex via Bluetooth. No hassle of managing wires or shelling out extra 600 to 700 rupees to buy a wall mount. Great product, Amazon.

Mic is decent, usb port is functional, sound output is bad. Connect it with any speaker (via bluetooth/ 3.5mm jack) to make that smart. I usually use it connecting with my soundbar. I bought it around Rs 850, which makes it a value buy. But the usual selling price of 2000 is too high for such inferior product.

I have echo dot 3rd gen and used to do general smart home tasks. For music, I used to connect it with my old Sony system via a Bluetooth adapter. Yet sound quality used to get compromised due to Bluetooth connectivity. I wished to have some wifi adapter that can pull data directly from Internet and deliver high quality audio to my stereo via aux. Keeping my echo dot plugged to aux was not a good idea as she is handling smart home devices like lights and routines. I cant keep my hifi stereo system ON all the time.
While searching for a wifi adapter, I found this and guess what… It is a small echo device with all the intelligence like every echo devices with a small speaker inside. And yes it does have 3.5 mm jack and thus fit my requirements.
I got one day delivery and as soon as I got it,
I hooked it up with my stereo system and now it is an Independent Smart hifi Audio System🥳🥳🥳
It is delivering enough output power through aux such that my Stereo is back to life. Bluetooth adapter was not delivering enough power hence I had to keep volume high in my stereo system.
Everything solved.
Build quality is premium and sturdy. This applies to every amazon device btw.
I got this at 999 being an existing echo dot user. 🤩
Thanks amazon for giving such solutions at much much affordable rates.
