I purchased the VS 500 l power supply, expecting reliable performance at 500 watts, but it’s proven to be a very cheap quality product. My entire PC consumes only around 200 watts, leaving me with plenty of overhead. However, every time I install a graphics card, my system fails to power on. It’s incredibly frustrating to see a supposedly 500-watt PSU struggle to run a GPU that requires only 78 to 90 watts.
Initially, I thought it might be an issue with my setup, so I tested two different graphics cards, and I faced the same problem each time. The moment I plug in any graphics card, the PSU simply shuts down my entire system. When I remove the graphics card, everything powers up without a hitch.
I can’t help but feel let down. This power supply can’t handle the basic demands of a modern GPU, which is unacceptable for a product marketed as having 500 watts of power. I expected better performance based on the specs, but it’s clear that I wasted my money on this shameful product. If you’re considering the VS 500 l for your PC build, save your time and invest in a more reliable power supply instead. Go for crossair or collermaster.

Bought is as a replacement of my 10 year old Corsair VS550 which served me tremendously well. Did not intend to spend much for an old gen PSU now ( PC upgrade on the verge ) hence bought it as an interim measure. Total power draw of my system under full load is around 350 watts hence wanted to limit the load to about 50%.
The pSU seems to be stable and able to deliver clean power . Fan is silent under moderate load.
Connectors ,although adequate for my need ,not commensurate with a 700 watt PSU.
Old mustard cables made a comeback inside my cabinet however the 24pin atx is with sleeve so does not look bad.
Bottom-line , it’s fairly good PSU for the price but I won’t courage myself to put high load on it.

Built a system recently. I have used zebronics and foxin and frontech SMPS earlier. Built built quality is awesome. A bit costlier than traditional SMPS but it’s premium finish will not upset you. Very low sound of fan and cable have nice net mesh for protection.
