It is original, genuine Windows. Got registered with Microsoft perfectly fine. If you are getting Windows 10 for significantly lesser price than this anywhere, it may be either fake or a limited OEM version.
This software comes on a nicely designed stylish pen drive (not DVDs anymore). Do NOT lose the pen drive. I suggest you make multiple copies of the software on DVDs and/or hard drive and save the Serial number along with them and keep them in a safe place (such as a locker). And do NOT share your software with others even if they are close to you. It might make your software become non-functional if they register the same product with Microsoft.
An operating system is not something we buy every time a new version comes from Microsoft. So pretty much this is a long-term purchase for atleast 5 (?) years.
Note that this is full retail version, not OEM version which is limited. For differences between both the versions, just do a Google search.
Windows 10 is the defacto standard on PCs now. Just note that if you are a video editing professional, Windows 7 or even XP is still preferred. Just do a quick Google search to know why. For everyone else, Windows 10 is the way to go!!
FINAL NOTE: It pays to purchase and use original, licensed copy of an Operating System through the official channels. Do NOT get those Rs 100 “CD” copies or quick installs from local computer shops which will create a lot of headache later (and ofcourse make you non-compliant to the law).

This item was delivered within a week, as per its projected delivery date. It was wrapped well. The box contains a plastic card with your product key (store this in a safe place!!!) as well as the software loaded onto a USB drive (included).
Please note, before you can install it on your PC/ laptop, you need to follow instructions to ensure you can boot the device from a USB (I had to follow Method 2 as outlined on […]).
Otherwise, the installation was straightforward. Windows 10 is now installed on my HP laptop that is 5 years old – and it works like new! Fast, clearly organised, W10 navigation borrows from the app icon driven squares used on its Lumia phones (I had this before, so I was used to it). It has given a new lease of life to my laptop, which is exactly what I needed it to do!
Additionally, you might want to activate the hidden Administrator account within Windows 10. To do this, I followed the instructions here ([…] but read these cautions first: […]).

In short I was confused by reading other reviews that it takes much time and very hard to install. When I try to install it just took 10 minutes and during the install restart 3 times. And very easy to install. All you just need to do 1. Plug the pendrive 2. Book with USB 3. Put the serial key provided in the box 4. Follow the instruction on screen.
Bang! Your windows will be install in 10 minutes, also you don’t need any driver pack as all required drivers come with this OS.

Made my job of upgrading Windows a lot easier. However, please note the following important point, otherwise the product key won’t work. If you currently have Windows 10 Pro and try to upgrade it just by directly running the setup from the drive, the upgrade will work but it would still be Windows 10 Pro, and the product key (if you’ve bought for Home) won’t work since it’s configured for Windows 10 Home. You need to install the software from the BIOS settings in order to have a fresh install of Windows 10 Home and then the product key would work. The same works vice-versa.
