Microsoft 365 Family for 6 Users, 12-Month/1 year Subscription (Windows/Mac/iOS/Android)(Activation Key Card)

MS Office worked without any glitches.

This is my second year getting this product and though the price has changed marginally, it still remains good value in terms of the family wide productivity gains we have all gained out of this.

Email ‘delivery’ occurs within ~30 mins of ordering this. Simply follow the instructions and enter the code to renew your O365 subscription for another year.

I do miss the days you just purchased a one time official Office license and that was it but everything is a subscription now and the features hidden behind the paywall are just too useful to not give in. Getting access to the full fat Office applications across both Windows, iOS and Android devices in our family is a huge boon. Being able to jointly edit family documents like an Excel sheet makes it a lot easier with helping elder members in the family (this has been a huge benefit). Same elders have benefitted from a lot of the smart suggestions and auto fixes available in Word to give an eg.
The 6TB of OneDrive available across the family is also very handy, when it comes to storing all our photos and documents. Given so many providers are nickel and diming with their cloud storage options, having this generous allowance and the reassurance of having material backed up is a plus for sure.

Ultimately in terms of just giving in to a rolling subscription or just purchasing a 1 year subscription each time, I haven’t done it long enough to really say if I’m saving any more money by doing so. I guess I’m more comfortable with a one off purchase than being locked into a rolling subscription where the provider could hike prices at any time.

I have ordered this product twice, once in October 2019 for INR 3500, and second October 2020 for INR 3990 to renew.
I got a box edition with a key card inside on the first order, but only got a key card for the second order. Works the same, however.
You don’t get any installation disc or anything, it is pointless anyway. You only get a key for your Office 365 (now known as Microsoft 365). You can use this on a Windows PC or a MAC.
There’s instructions at the back of the card, which says to open up the site (office.com/setup) and follow a 2 step process which requires you to input the key and other basic details. Do note that you need to have an Office account, which can be created free of cost. After the redeem is done, you will be given an option to install which downloads a setup and the rest of the installation goes as it does with any other software.
What you get:
1. Office 365 for 6 people, 1 year each starting at the same time. You can add who to share with in the same link as setup (it gives an option after the redeem).
2. Apps you get: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, Access, OneNote. You can also use Forms (online only). You can also use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint online if you want.
3. 1TB (per user) OneDrive Storage for an year.
4. You’ll receive any update that is available making sure you always have the latest features, unlike the 2019 or any other standalone version of Office.
5. You also get to use the full version of Office Apps on your smartphone.

Redeeming process is easy, and takes 2 minutes if you’re familiar with basic code redeem processes, the setup on your computer may take a few minutes depending on your hardware.

If you’re concerned about whether to use this or a 2019 version:
I recommend using this 365 version for its always-up-to-date model, and all the other features that come up with it. However, if you’re only going to use for basic Word/PowerPoint/Excel files, and don’t care for new features, then you can buy the 2019 version, however it will give you only the 3 mentioned apps. If you have people who want to use Office as well, then buy 365 for the low price. This version allows to add up to 6 people, which in the end goes to around INR 670 per person per year. The 2019 version (all apps) costs around INR 9700, and the Student version costs INR 3000 (when on sale).
