my terrible experience with McAfee antivirus. I purchased McAfee antivirus based on its reputation for being a reliable and effective security solution. However, I quickly realized that this was a mistake.
The first problem I encountered was that McAfee was not compatible with my M1 chip MacBook Pro. This was despite the product description clearly stating that it supported macOS. I contacted McAfee customer support for assistance, but they were unable to provide a solution. I was told that McAfee would not be providing support for M1 chips in the foreseeable future.
I was incredibly disappointed with McAfee’s lack of support. I had purchased their product in good faith, and I was now left with an incompatible antivirus program that I could not use. I tried to get a refund, but McAfee refused. They claimed that I had used the product for too long to be eligible for a refund.
To make matters worse, my laptop became infected with malware shortly after I installed McAfee antivirus. I believe this was due to the fact that the antivirus was not compatible with my M1 chip. I had to spend hours cleaning up the malware infection, and my laptop was never the same.
I strongly recommend avoiding McAfee antivirus. It is an overpriced product that is not compatible with M1 chips. Additionally, McAfee’s customer support is terrible, and they will not refund you if you are unhappy with their product.
Also I paid the services with no use at all. Please do not buy this product if anyone using Mac. its false discription mentioned that mcafee will support in mac

It is the best McAfee subscription value. The seller gives clear instructions and was helpful. My experience was, after submitting the product key, the McAfee site returned with a screen asking for credit card number and essential information for auto-renewal, and there was no button to decline. I escaped the screen without agreeing to auto renewal. Had a couple of exchanges with the seller and a call with McAfee, I learned the subscription was good and McAfee has it on my file. McAfee support was excellent too. Over all, it is a great deal.

Ease of use/ administration: I purchased this software in July 2021 for my family and found that two licenses of McAfee Total Protection (each for 5 devices) has been sent to my email address. The McAfee Customer Support expressed their inability to combine the two licenses into one, which made my task of administering this software tedious on family devices (PCs, tablets, mobile phones) especially during re-installation. I had to literally remember which license (out of the two identical licenses) was used by me and which one by my family, specially when the family member(s) uses the same manufacturer/ model.
Bundled Products: McAfee Antivirus, McAfee Internet Security (Firewall) are the industry led products which defintely great! Apart from this the other products viz. McAfee Secure VPN, True Key by McAfee (Password Manager), Web Boost, Tracker Remover, Browser Security etc. are being worked upon by the product team. Out of all these bundled products, I did have issues with ‘True Key by McAfee’, which didn’t prompt me for saved passwords on many websites. This product, which works as a browser extension, logs the user out multiple times in a day from mobile device(s) thus impacting the productivity where one has to repeatedly log-in to the interface to fetch the password. I established multiple sessions with McAfee Consumer Technical Support team, to check if any of my user options are causing this behavior. A ticket was also created for this issue, but this was resolved with a stanard resolution after 3 months….Apart from that I also contacted the support team to change my phone number on the profile, but they haven’t done that even after 3 weeks, so the McAfee Support really sucks…
Price: The price of this product has increased by 5% from 2021, which is not advisable considering the ease of use and the post-sales support. Still this price is comparatively good price in comparison to other products in the market.
