Cons first – Cancels only 50% of the vibration, total useless. It picks even small rubbing of the surface.

Pros – connect well with most standard microphones n stands, i got a bolt n fixed it to a supper sturdy dual monitor arm which has rubber padding etc. As shown in picture. Product overall looks / seems, sturdy n it is not too heavy.
It fitted well wth my dynamic USB mic shure mv7.
I will shortly upload the vibration test audio.

I’ll start this off by stating the short summary of this: Blue is intentionally selling you an extremely overpriced piece of hardware that is, at best, poorly planned from a design perspective, and, at worst, deliberately engineered to have an extremely special part (that does not need to be there) that if you lose, renders the overpriced hardware completely useless.

I want to preface this by saying that I worked for a hardware manufactuirng and packaging center as a design engineer for years, and so I know how the manufacturing and distribution of this stuff works and the labor that goes into it. I literally make screws, so I feel like I’m as qualified as anyone to get this upset about this.

I used this mount for a couple of months in combination with the compass arm and my Yeti X and loved it. It did what I needed it to do, was very intruitive to use, and seemed to be made of good sturdy material which is good because of how heavy the yeti x is. But recently I moved, and in the process I lost the hardware that holds the shock mount to the arm. it is two very small but very specially designed pieces of hardware that, if you lose, renders the mount completely useless. Now, that on it’s own is not the problem and why I’m leaving this poor review. I want to be clear in this review that I am aware that losing the screw was my fault. I am well aware of that. I messed up, and that’s on me.

What definitely isn’t my fault however, is that when I contacted customer support, they informed me that they don’t keep stock of these screws, and as such they can’t supply me with a spare. So i now have a $50 shock mount that I can’t use because I lost TWO screws that are worth about 2 cents a piece.

This isn’t me saying that they should have given it for free. With a price tag as high as Blue’s, they probably should have customer service of that degree, but I would never expect them to do that. I would gladly have paid 5 bucks for a little baggie of hardware to just be able to mount it again.

It would not be hard at all for Blue to simply make a few extra pieces of hardware and set them aside in a bin somewhere in some wherehouse, and sell them for 5 bucks a piece. It would be incredibly easy, and would make them a ton of money probably because I know I’m not the only person who loses things like this. (again, I work for a company that does this sort of thing for companies like Blue all the time. It’s not hard. In fact, it’s pretty much expected).

Further, the special screw and lock nut combination that is used is extremely unneccesary from a design point, and this mount connection could easily have been made to just use standard hardware that you could get from Home Depot. I can think of multiple off the top of my head.

But it seems Blue is far more interested in forcing their customers to buy a totally new $50 mount rather than replace those little pieces of hardware.

I know it sounds petty, especially for something that I myself lost and is totally my fault.

But imagine that you drove your car, and through your fault got one of your side mirrors broken. You would be upset if you had to buy a whole new car, all because the car manufacturer made the connection of that mirror an incredibly complicated connection that no auto shop could buy, right?

Because that’s the level of corporate pettiness that is going on here, and it is totally unacceptable.

If you are shelling out the money for premium hardware like Blue is supplying, it is absolutely fair to expect that they would provide at the very least an option to buy spares of the hardware.

I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on Blue Hardware in the past and loved it, but after dealing with this and coming to this realization, absolutely no more.

I got lucky and went with this shock mount and arm.

I wanted something in between cheap POS and high-end sound engineer equipment. This product is a perfect balance. Nice and solid. Holds angles well. Secures to desk great.

Shock mount is an added plus that I didn’t know I would benefit from. Really helps eliminate background sounds from bumping desk or accidentally hitting mic base when recording.

I also bought a flexible arm boom mic filter for this set up. Having excellent results.

    Very happy.

So, once this product is actually put on an mic arm, it’s really nice! But if you are looking at this in order to purchase a mic arm with the shock mount already on it, look elsewhere. It does seem overpriced for just the mount, however it’s sturdy and I’ve noticed a higher microphone audio quality since purchasing. I would recommend this product.

Compared to other shockmounts it’s best for blue yeti x. Loved it 😍 the only issue was it’s quite high in price.

Don’t let the low ratings bombing from people that can’t read confuse you. This shock mount is FANTASTIC!

I purchased this a while ago for my Yeti mic. I have a “Red Satin” version that I bought in 2018. It, as I said, worked perfectly. I think updated my setup and purchased the “Whiteout” version in 2022. HOWEVER, the bolt that secures the mic into the shock mount just…doesn’t fit. I believe someone has included a video of it. So, if you’re getting one of the newer models, you might be out of luck. The older ones are perfect.

Unfortunately, Amazon (nor Logitech/Blue) have given buyers a way to know the difference between the model years. Just don’t be surprised if you have the issue.
