I have been using GS New York High Back Chair for a week now, bought it for 8.9k and here are my initial impressions.
I was using Wakefit Draco High Back Chair for the last 1.5 years, bought it for 6.2k on Amazon in Dec 2021 and thought of buying another office chair for my wife. For reference I’m 5’6 and 70kg.
Seat Comfort: The seat is wide with good thigh support, felt very comfortable compared to Wakefit chair. I am not saying that Wakefit is bad but this is one is better in terms of seat comfort.
Back/Lumbar: I think this is Achilles heel of this chair. I have felt that the lumbar support was too intrusive even at the least setting, had to remove it completely as it was getting really uncomfortable at the lower back and started having back pain within 1-2 hours of sitting on it.
Armrest: I felt that armrest is little bit at the higher position than I am used to on Wakefit chair even at the lowest setting but was comfortable enough while working.
Lift/Tilt: It is okay, nothing amazing to write home about.
But one major design flaw in this chair at this price point which is not mentioned anywhere in the description and also most of us overlook is that the back is directly connected to the seat without spring mechanism making the base seat tilt up when you lean back. We will be on our toes when we lean back as the thighs move up with the seat which is weird because you don’t get to sit with feet completely on the ground while leaning back making it uncomfortable.
Conclusion: Not really worth the price of 8.9k and it is better to buy office chairs from offline stores where you can sit and try according to your comfort. And then decide which one to go with.
Update after using for 2 months: –
Started having shoulder and back pain, not using it anymore.
PLEASE AVOID THIS AND LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!

It is very good chair easy to assemble thought it took me 2-3 hours to assemble but it was because of my first ever assembly of any product
There is an allen key given to screw the nuts
Its tilt mechanism and seat comfort is very good
Armrest are comfortable
only one thing is missing that is Tilt Lock at any angle between 90 to 135 degree.
No NEED TO SPEND EXTRA MONEY ON ADJUSTABLE ARMREST !!!!!!!.

Working from home these days is getting tiresome for most of us who have to sit long hours in front of our laptops/desktops using our home furniture, which is not customised and suitable for such job. I was also facing such problem and used to miss my office chair a lot, which was of a known popular brand and very expensive. In order to ease my aching back and neck, I was looking for a chair that was ergonomically designed and had all the features of a professional office chair. After a lot of research, I cam across this chair, which has large number of positive reviews. The best part part was prompt support from the manufacturer. This chair with head rest, tiltable back, lumbar support and adjustable hand rest was the one which suited my requirement. Hence, I ordered it. It was delivered in a nicely packed condition on the very next day. The manufacturer took all care to ensure that the chair doesn’t get dented or damaged during transit. The chair was in 4 parts and was very easy to assemble as it had all the instructions written on the assembly instruction sheet. The chair was ready to use in 5 minutes.
To summarise, following are the pros of the chair :
1. Good quality material used. The back rest is airy and the seat is also made of absorbent fabric. The steel parts are also excellent.
2. The chair height can be adjusted to suit mostly all height of tables and computer screens.
3. The back of the chair can be tilted by around 15 degrees, but we do have an option of locking the back.
4. The chair has a profile for lumbar support, which can be pushed inwards or outwards based on comfort level.
5. The best part for me is that the hand rests can be moved up and down, based on your comfort and body structure. For those who are suffering from spondylitis pain, this feature is definitely a boon.
6. The head rest is also adjustable so that persons of varying back heights can have their heads rested comfortably.
7. The seat tilts along with the back, which does not strain the lower back and sacrum joint. This feature is definitely better than chairs which have only back tilt. The chair remains fully stable at any angle of back tilt. People who say so may not be correct.
8. The manufacturer is so friendly. As soon as they despatch the chair, they keep updating about the status. They automatically connect you on whatsapp on your registered telephone number to help us install the product, take feedback and provide support / warranty information (of course, if the user agrees so).
9. The chair is manufactured totally in Bharat and hence they carry a symbol of aatmnirbharta and make in India.
Cons :
No cons observed so far.
To summarise, this product is excellent. You may get misguided by some negative reviews (for which the manufacturer is trying to clarify/rectify) but trust me, you will never regret buying this chair and getting value for money.
