XREAL Air Ar Glass Smart Glass Up To 201 Large Screen To Carry Anywhere / Tuv Certified (Eye Friendly), Black

This product works with my M1 Macbook Pro and iPad Air 2022. The price seems cheaper bought from Amazon Japan compared to Amazon US. But for the current limited functions especially for the Apple ecosystem, I think the price should be much cheaper. My Oculus Rift S has more functions than this and was appropriately priced back then when I got it. Nevertheless, Nreal Air AR glasses is fun to use for watching movies or YouTube. The screen can be really bright too. It’s not so suitable for reading (or maybe better after making the prescription glasses). Nreal could make this a very competitive product by offering more frame styles, more affordable pricing, availability and functionality. It would be a great hit if the frame is interchangeable, meaning a user can swap different frames but keep the functionality but that would be a future plan for the R&D department.

I have purchased these glasses for watching movies and it works fine. It is little bit costly. It price should be around 35 to 40k. The built-in speakers are very below average. The app required called nebula is not available in indian google play store so I have downloaded it from third party sources.

I’m a VR enthusiast and own several headsets. Tbh I didn’t care much for AR or MR. The Airs changed that and now they are my favorite screen for Steam Deck, Samsung DEX and Mac (M1). In bed, on a plane or just on a bus, playing games with Steam Deck and Airs is so much more immersive. Watching a movie with Airs is almost as good as watching it on a big TV and I never would have thought I use these glasses with my macs for productivity. But so far I used them for working on documents on 3 screens, editing video or mixing a song. Of course you will get some eye strain after some time and the glasses will get a bit uncomfortable after some hours. But it’s no comparison to any VR headset out there. Even the new generation like Pico or Quest Pro are more bulky and tiring to wear over time. Of course that’s VR and not AR but I experienced that I’m using VR headsets less and less. The Airs are that good. Amazon delivered to Germany in 4 days without any issues which is an amazing service. And now stop reading and get them!

Nreal should improve Nebula to support maximum phones , now it’s a limited list high end phones supported.
Samsung dex or air casting is feels like 130 Inch FHD TV in front of you. In this mode text looks blur. I used Samsung note 8 , so cant share air space mode experience. Bcoz it’s not in supporting device list of Nebula app.

Last update. Company did respond to my email. They asked for my address and sent a Fed Ex to pick it up free of charge. They repaired my glasses no charge. I never had a company do this. So I will give my original star review. I would recommend the glasses.

Update. This company will not respond to any email. I had two issues. The first one I was able to fix. However the second needed attention. The right arm of the glasses is cracking. Just from normal use. I would have paid for them to be fixed. Even tho they were poorly made. But I’ve yet to get a response.

Wanted to update: I was originally going to return the item, but changed my mind. Come to find out, you can actually move the nose piece to fit your face. It does put more pressure on one side of my nose, and can hurt over a period of time, but it’s small price to pay for what you get. Now I’m able to see clearly on both sides. There is still some blurring on the far corners, but its not too bad when you’re playing a game, or watching a movie. There is also still a bit of a glare, but again, you can get used it it. I added another star. It would be perfect if the screen would either say in one place, or if you could make the TV smaller, but for me it’s not possible.

Also, to mention, it’s plug and play USB-C to USB-C. So it’s easy to use. If you have a comparable phone I think you can update the glasses and use other functions.

Again, everyone face are different and not perfectly symmetric. So if you have a crooked face like me, you will want to play around with the different nose pieces that are included. You are able to pull and tug on one side of the nose piece to help with any imbalances. I didn’t know this until doing more research.

I play the Steam Deck, and the large screen helps so much. Right now I believe these are the best glasses available. Next year will be a different story for sure. But take your time to make sure they fit your face.

If the glasses fit correctly, this would be easily a 5. However, the field of view is a little too narrow. Everyone head and face is a different size. Come to find out, mind left eye must be a little lower. It’s impossible to get a correct fit. If you were able to move or fix the screen, this would help of fix the situation. But the monitor is fixed into one position.

Also, if you don’t have the correct phone, you can’t update the product. I tried to update on my Steam Deck, (PC), but it just wouldn’t work.

I was going to return it, but even with the issues. I think I will still use the product a lot. The field of view got better watching a Netflix movie. I have to keep moving the glasses until I find a good enough position to see it. But when I do, it’s very good.

I don’t understand why they don’t have an app for every device, or made the glassses wifi. Maybe the update has fixed these issues, but again. I’m not able to update it.

If you can return the product and don’t mind sending it back, I will say give it a try. If you have no issues seeing through the glasses, it’s worth it in my option. However, if your eyes don’t fix into the very narrow parameters, you won’t be able to enjoy it.

One of the most impressive tech. Must buy. Display is so freaking crisp. Love the micro led.
