I bought it in October 2015. It’s still going strong primarily I am using for my heavy duty imported Philips Iron Box. That is everyday over 4-5 AMPS current for at least 30 mins and it’s still going strong. Amazing product from GM. PHENOMENAL Quality if it can go on for 6 YEARS and absolutely no problem till now despite heavy usage.
Few tips :

1. Service it once in a while by opening, cleaning, tightening and putting everything back. I have done once in last 6 years.
2. Ensure socket’s internal wiring is not loose. 90% plugs and multiplug heat and burn due to loose connections inside the board. I am a DIY lover and once I had opened every single board in the house (newly built though rented) and was shocked to see how many points were loose despite owner assuring me he has put high quality stuff and very experienced electrical contractor. Incidentally whole house has GM Modular boards, switches, socket, etc I again I can guarantee the GM has phenomenal quality. We used to get this kind only abroad but glad to see this quality in India. So in short we may have good quality boards but if wiring is loose of low quality any plug will melt and burn up.
3. Always check house voltage. I observed in the house voltages hovered around 170-280 travel adapters like this will not survive such high or low voltage. Install mainline stabilizers instead of individual devices.

In the end GM has amazing quality but we should do our part too to keep even smallest devices like this multi travel adapter to keep going forever. I consider 200% paisa wasool by investing in this travel adapter. I am certain it will last 10+ years easily.

This is an awesome Multi-plug. All types of plugs fit in properly even thin ones. Not too sure on its protection capabilities but I primarily bought it to connect 3 mobile chargers at the same time (light load). and all three chargers fit in properly. Happen to try one international flat plug Iron Box and it plug also fit in and worked flawlessly. Bye bye cheap local multi-plugs which broke and got burnt due to loose fits. If purchased at least you will have a good fully working branded multi-plug with some in-built protections that might even save your appliances. Excellent buy can be purchased with eyes closed.
