Initially I didn’t have good expectations from iqoo. But after using this one, I love iqoo. There are some pros & cons as usual. Let me point them one by one,
Pros:-
1. Bright display. This display very bright for harsh sunlight days.
2. The phone looks good & attracts eyes. The matte back panel doesn’t catch fingerprint at all. Also the inhand feel is very comfortable.
3. Button positions are perfect & buttons are tactile. Thankfully it gets all the ports except a noise cancellation mic. But the single mic works flawlessly.
4. Speakers are loud. And the earpiece is very loud.
5. Battery backup is solid. 5000mAh battery easily lasts almost 1.5day on light usage, always 70% brightness, 4G, full sound.
6. Camera is decent. Shutter speed is a bit slow. But it’s okay considering the price.
7. UI is very good according to the price. It’s smooth & lag free due to no to reduced animations. Also it has lot of customisation right from charging animation, USB animation, fingerprint animation. Although the phone has LCD panel, the ui supports AOD(5seconds). Regular software updates are also provided by iqoo.
8. The box contains a charger & back case. So it’s quite a complete unboxing experience.
9. The phone remains cool after long usage, even during charging.
10. Iqoo claims it has IP64 rating. It’s okay. I haven’t tested it as the phone is someone’s primary device in my family.
Cons:-
1. The display resolution. The display is a good quality LCD panel but HD+. It should have been a FHD+
2. Phone supports only 15W charging. That’s slow in 2024’s standard(when it was launched). It should have at least 20W at this price. But one good thing is charger is present in the box.
3. Storage type is eMMC5.1. That’s sad. It’s okay for day to day use But not for heavy usage.
4. We have to manually turn of HOT APPS, HOT GAMES & notification from V-appstore. And you’re all set.
Note:- I haven’t tested it on 5G network. Hence can’t say about network coverage.
Verdict:- This phone is good for elder people in the home or as a secondary/backup device.

I bought the Mocha brown color and believe me, everyone else had trouble believing that it’s a budget phone!
My delivery experience with exchange:
As usual, whenever I want to EXCHANGE a mobile, I have to rely on Amazon instead of FLIP(FRAUD)KART!
I think nobody should exchange mobile with Fraudkart because their exchange system is crooked. They have given the responsibility of valuing the old mobile to their delivery boy. Now the delivery boys have become king and always find out unnecessarily small, artificial defects in the mobile so that your valuation is decreased by 50%, then they will ask for BRIBE openly like Rs.500 or 1000 to assign the higher valuation! I have seen it happen with dozens of my friends and colleagues who were too naive to fall for Fraudkart’s schemes.
Hence, I always give old mobiles to Amazon in exchange for new ones, AMAZON DELIVERY GUYS NEVER TRIED TO DEFRAUD ME IN THE LAST 10 YEARS. I behave like a responsible customer and declare the genuine condition of the Mobile beforehand such as scratches on screen, body cracks etc. and the delivery guys accept it without any arguments. KUDOS TO AMAZON for such a transparent process!
About the Mobile:
I have a OnePlus 11 but was too tensed about it especially while getting millions of calls and messages everyday so I decided to buy a secondary mobile which could be abused without any guilt. BTW I just realised that I always had a mobile with AMOLED screen right since the early days when I bought the Galaxy S2 when it was launched! I never ever bought one with a LCD screen ever and this Iqoo Z9 Lite is the first one and I don’t hate it as much as I hoped I would.
Display quality is far better than cheap LCD mobiles and 90 Hz frequency is an icing on the cake. Since it’s a 720p resolution, I can see the pixelated texts if I look closely but that’s an exception, normally I don’t mind the lower resolution in day to day life. I wish the max brightness was higher but hey, it’s a budget mobile so you can’t get everything in it!
Do note that this mobile HAS ONLY 1 SINGLE MICROPHONE at the bottom, no additional mics for noise cancellation at our end. I am pretty sure I will hear complaints from the call receiver when I am in a crowded place with lots of background noise.
The OS is pretty smooth and fast but quite laggy in comparison to a OnePlus Nord or Redmi HyperOS.
Conclusion: I could not find a better deal for my requirements so I bought this mobile but others should definitely explore other options if they are going to buy it as their one & only mobile.

Phone Looks pretty good especially the brown version. It comes with a pre applied screen protector and good back cover.
Display is good considering the price range, Refresh rate hold on all system apps, doesn’t feels slow.
It lacks animation but thats fine considering the processor. Brightness is adequate.
Camera viewfinder looks kind off bad but photoes are fine solid 6/10 daylight captures are good but struggles in low or medium light.
Battery is amazing, I tried playing COD mobile for half an hour without any significant drain. (only 5 percent)
Call quality and internet speed are smooth and pretty great. It was giving slightly higher speeds than my nothing 2a.
No majaor heating issue was there, can’t expect dimensity 6300 to heat much.
Single speaker is somewhat a downgrade as well as the sound quality isn’t so good but according to price its acceptable.
If you don’t game much or want to capture good enough pictures this phone is just for you. Overall for day to day usage the phone is pretty sweet and just rolls through everything.
Please remove all bloatware apps and force stop all the vivo and Iqoo bloatware apps and remove notification for them as well like tips, Vappstore and manager.
