this has given me trouble with the lan ports. When I connect my system to the lan port, everything stops working. But when I disconnect and connect with the normal switch, everything gets reconnected again. So the lan port of the router is not good. It keeps giving trouble. IP address keeps changing on its own. and unable to figure out the actual problem. Even the tp link has not been able to solve it properly. Once they solve it on the very few days it will be back to square.

This TPLINK XC220-G3v v2.0 XPON Router is Working as expected with my BSNL Fiber internet connection using EPON.
But this is not easy to configure by end Customer. I tried configuring myself with help of my old Modem config details but did not work at all.
To all those who are facing issues with BSNL Fiber Internet connection. Please reach out to your BSNL service provider. TP LINK Support team is there but they wont provide solution instead they will just fwd the email to next person and no solution was provided.
I just gave this Router to my ISP (local cable operator).. they configured it for me and now im able to connect to Internet successfully without upgrading the firmware. There is no need to downgrade or upgrade the firmware.. just with factory firmware it works good.. just the configuration has to be done by BSNL team.
(I dont use telephone landline so only Internet is configured)
This can be controlled by TPLINK AGINET mobile Application, same link Tether APP. It has 3 yr warranty as well.
Overall i am giving 5 star because it satisfied my need. Rather than buying Local brands like syrothech/optilink/netlink/etc, you can buy this but contact bsnl for configuration.

We purchased this router after seeing some reviews online that this is compatible with airtel extreme fibre connection. we wanted to use this in place of default router provided by airtel. But airtel refused to install this router and mandated using the nokia router provided, inspite of range issues faced with default router. Airtel mentioned that other router can be added to the network after their router. But this one will not work since this router requires GPON connection whereas we will need to get router with WAN port instead. When I tried to return this router, amazon did not allow since return window was 7 days and I called to return on day 8. So long story short, I have this router in unused condition with me as ISP did not allow to use it and seller did not take it back. One star review is for not router performance but for the buying experience.

Best product. For my BSNL fiber connection, I just called (Number provided in the bill) the BSNL to release MAC of my last ONT (Modem) from their Server. Before this I already configured the settings. After the MAC release, I waited for 10 minutes and restarted the modem. That’s it.
No need to clone MAC or use custom MAC (I have tried this, it just connects to BSNL server. But internet will not work). Also no need to flash/upgrade the firmware as per the YouTube videos.
If you configure first, then release MAC or the opposite, it doesn’t matter. Similarly if you connect the fiber before or after switching on the Modem/ONT, it doesn’t matter.

Before Benginning any configuration call BSNL and ask them to release your OLD MAC. You can goto also BSNL THEN HE re Configur…(I also goto BSNL OFFICE AND HE DO RE configuration) .
I USE BSNL FTTH 100 Mbps Plan then it’s release good download and upload speed upto 90 mbps with LAN cable . His 2.4 GHz and 5GHz speed is to good. His 5GHz speed is upto 110 mbps .. signal strength is to good with maximum coverage area.
TP link all products quality is ALWAYS GOOD .
I am 100% Satisfied with this product. Thank you

I bough it today and config myself within 5-10 mins easy and simple (if you know what u doing) my isp is Kerala vision and It’s work on almost all isp except JIO ( can ask your isp) follow these steps to set up
-> first take a screenshot of your old router config ( internet section )
-> connect your fiber cable to the new router ( blue is SC UPC ( most seen in India) tp link has green connectior SC APC ) you can buy a coupler and an SC-UPC/APC coupler cabe from Amazon ) but it doesn’t matter much if you interconnect both you will lose 1or 2db power that’s all
-> Most important step – Call your isp and ask them to Release/Reset you MAC address from their side
-> Power on your router – go to setup page -Advance – internet section – delete old config – add new config as per the old router
-> add other configs as u wish
-> easy as it is you can Njoy

Though features of the product are good, I have not been able to get it working with Airtel xtreme fiber. I have seen articles on how to configure with Airtel. Though GPON connection is activated using the right serial No, I have not been able to get internet connection up so far.
