Traveling can be a whirlwind of experiences, from the breathtaking sights to the unique cultures. But in today’s digital age, staying connected is equally crucial. On my recent 10-day European cruise, the TP-Link AC750 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router proved to be an indispensable companion, ensuring I remained connected without a hitch.
First and foremost, the portability of this device is unmatched. Its compact and lightweight design meant it easily slipped into my carry-on, occupying minimal space. Unlike other routers I’ve used in the past, the TP-Link AC750 didn’t feel like an additional burden. Instead, it felt like carrying a portable charger.
Setting up the TP-Link AC750 was a breeze. I’ve had my fair share of experiences with routers, and I can confidently say that this was one of the most straightforward setups I’ve encountered. The instructions were clear, and within minutes, I had a secure Wi-Fi network up and running. The intuitive interface ensured that even those less tech-savvy could get it running without any hiccups.
Now, let’s talk about the real game-changer. Cruises are notorious for their exorbitant internet charges. Typically, you’d pay a premium for each device you connect. With the TP-Link AC750, I circumvented this entirely. I paid for a single device connection and then used the travel router to share that connection across my laptop, phone, and tablet. The savings were substantial, running into hundreds of dollars over the duration of the cruise. Not only did this device keep me connected, but it also proved to be an economical choice.
Performance-wise, the TP-Link AC750 exceeded all my expectations. Despite its small size, it packed a punch. The dual-band AC750 Wi-Fi ensured a robust and fast connection, allowing for smooth HD streaming. Whether I was video calling family back home, streaming a movie, or simply browsing, the connection remained consistent and reliable.
The TP-Link AC750 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router is a must-have for any traveler. If you’re planning a trip anytime soon, do yourself a favor and get this device.

The product is made in quality material and very small in size. It works as it claims. One thing I noticed that if I use my own Cat 5e Ethernet cable, it will not connect. I have to use the Cat 5e Ethernet cable provided. I didn’t try more Ethernet cables. Also the micro USB cable is a bit too short, which is not a big problem, as every body has a lots of them in stock I guess.

Modem concentrated on travel oriented task and does well in utilising mobile internet, LAN internet, USB Modem and HOTSPOT.
One downside is during power up WiFi get error in connection and resolve automatically after 5 min. Issue persists even after updating to latest firmware and every powering on device.
And during open box USB CABLE MISSING, cannot claim since not taken video

Look and size very good and handy. But technically not good enough means when connected to LAN to convert to wifi it shows connected but no internet.
Secondly, used in hotel as repeater but again it failed and same “no internet”
Thirdly tried to share file through USB through this router but it was not getting configured.
Overall very bad experience with this product, don’t know if the device is faulty although when access by configuration set up page all seems to be working.
I would not recommend this product.

this is the best protein Apple router in the market in India. You can get all the 5G Dole are very expensive. Is the best solution connection.

I bought it as an extender which can work on a mini ups. I already had another Tplink RE200 model which work very well, but it is direct plug in to 230v socket. A power will affect it. So I decided to buy another extender which can work on DC power so that I can use my mini invertor to power it up for few minutes before the power is restored from generator. But its speed is very less. I never tested any other functionality such as 4G router or a storage share. My original Airtel router provides 150Mbps speed, when use this device as extender I get only 15 to 20 Mbps. Even Lan port also provides same speed. Unhappy with this model. It is okay only if you really dont have any choice.

Background:
I needed a Wi-Fi based NAS and had bought the TL-WR902AC V1 version a few years back, which I ended up bricking while trying out OpenWRT. Eventually bought ‘RavPower FileHub’ which worked well for over 3 years and would give a rate of about 2MB/s. Needed a replacement and filehub’s are not sold anymore.
The TL-WR902AC is the only decent mini Wi-Fi NAS in India as of now. The ‘GL.iNet’ routers are overpriced here for some reason. Also, the V3 version presently being sold solves most of the problems which plagued it previously.
Do update the firmware as the functionality is much improved after update with SMBv2 support.
The V3 version I received is US version, and not the ‘EU version’ as mentioned on the TP-Link India website, check before updating firmware. The firmware update supported smbv2 and supports even the native iOS Files app. In iOS -> connect to server -> ‘smb://192.168.0.1’ -> guest as the user and viola, the files app will recognise SMB drive. It’s even easier in Windows and Android.
As a NAS Drive, I get up to 6.3 MB/s sustained read write speeds over wifi5 when connected to an SSD.
Cons-
-The WR902AC only recognises fat32 and NTFS, exFAT is not supported. (Tip: SSD with exFAT does not support TRIM, stick with NTFS)
-No Battery, needs external micro-USB supply (no usb-c).
-Single USB2.0 port
Overall, happy with the performance. Especially recommended for iPad users which forces lots of compatibility restrictions. It is a good enough for streaming and media consumption. Was able to play 4k files easily. Have not used it with a 3G/4G dongle or used it to convert wired signal to wifi, so cant say anything about these use case scenario.

I mostly use it as a WiFi extender and it has been months since I plugged it in, it still works and is pretty good. The speed is also same as compared to the original router.
One thing is that it has a hard time extending weak to very weak signals, the speed gets disturbed. Although, it works just fine on moderate signals. So it should be kept in mind while choosing on where to place it.
