Below are the factors which I liked about the product. I didn’t find any negative or issues. • Build quality, fit & finish is clean. • Enough spacing between each port • Cord length is more than enough • Gives a clean desk look. Screw and rubber grip are sturdy • Once fixed no shakiness, it will hold the test of time • Transfer speeds are good • All four ports work seamlessly • No heating issue • Priced effectively

I primarily use this for I/O devices and it works great for that. I haven’t really had the opportunity to use this with external SSDs, but HDDs work pretty well with great transfer speeds. The ability to attach it to the table surface is an absolute savior for cable management. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to extend the number of gradually declining ports without it becoming a cable management nightmare.

I even forgot that I have it, it is tucked away on my desk. The only challenge is if you are not using all the ports you need to find a way to cover the empty one as the dust can accumulate since it is open facing up. Rest all good.

I bought it in the month of Jul ’21 & in mid May ’22 it stopped working. There is a blue indication active but none of the ports work (1 USB & the SD card reader). Changed Source USB port on Laptop, Changed ‘A’ to ‘A’ cable, checked with power & without power nothing seems to resolve the problem. There is no mention about Warranty of this product or maybe I missed seeing it. Carried away by the reviews.

I have been wanting to get a dedicated USB hub but there was none in the market that was sturdy. I was a regularly using a USB C hub with the USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter and got my work done. But it was short of USB ports. Till I found the Orico Hub with 4 ports and USB Male to Male power cord. Here’s my review on it. I am giving 3 stars only for the fact that mounting on the iMac doe
DELIVERY: The delivery took around 5 days. The package came in intact and sealed.
PRODUCT: The product is small and compact. Its solid steel and looks good with a tiny blue indicator light. The quality is also good. There are 4 USB ports with a 5V-2A USB Male to Male power cable. The cable is lengthy enough to mount the hub on a edge of the table, a little away from the computer. Its a Plug-N-Play device. I tested the data transfer rate. There is no drastic difference, just a few MBs here and there.
CONS: The only drawback I found on the device, was attaching it to the iMAC. I have the newer iMac with the curved unit. The hub does not mount in any way as shown in the image. The image, has the hub mounted on the older iMac (2012). The hub keeps slipping off as it has nothing to grip on. So I decided to mount it on the stand. See the image. It is a bit cumbersome. I have connected the devices that I need on a regular basis so that I don’t have to keep going at the back to pull cables out. I purchased it as it looked practical. But the mounting is a big issue for me and it would be for all iMac user. Probably will have to try a DIY to attach it on the front of the iMac.
