I recently purchased the Acer ED343CUR 34 Inch UWQHD (3440×1440) Curved Backlight LED Monitor, expecting a high-quality experience from a reputed brand like Acer. Unfortunately, this monitor has proven to be a significant disappointment.

Initial Impressions: The monitor initially seemed promising with its 1000R curvature and UWQHD resolution. The display quality was impressive, offering vibrant colors and an immersive experience for both work and entertainment. However, this positive experience was short-lived.

Issue Faced: After just three days of usage, the monitor started flickering intermittently, making it almost impossible to use. I attempted basic troubleshooting steps, including changing the power socket and replacing the HDMI cable, but nothing seemed to fix the issue. This indicates a potential hardware defect, which is unacceptable for a product at this price point. Generally, we see this kind of flickering after few years of usage..may be 5 years or more.

Support Experience: The customer support experience was equally frustrating. I initially tried contacting Acer’s chat support, but received no response. When I reached out to their voice support, they requested an invoice, warranty details, and even a short video of the monitor exhibiting the problem. This cumbersome process could have been more streamlined. Additionally, the contact numbers and email IDs listed on their support website are non-functional, which further complicates the situation and leaves customers with limited options for seeking help.

Final Thoughts: It’s disheartening that such a reputable brand has such poor product quality and even worse after-sales support. Given my experience, I strongly recommend against purchasing this monitor. It’s not worth the risk of encountering similar issues and the frustration of dealing with unresponsive customer service.

Recommendation: Do yourself a favor and consider other options available in the market. Acer needs to seriously improve both its product quality and customer support infrastructure to regain customer trust.

Verdict: A disappointing purchase that I regret. Save your time and money by choosing a different brand.

The Acer ED343CUR 34-Inch UWQHD Curved Monitor offers decent performance at a reasonable price. The build quality is satisfactory, though the built-in speakers have very low volume. One drawback is the slightly loose power supply cable, which can cause power interruptions when adjusting the monitor. Additionally, it supports 180Hz only via the DP1.4 port, with HDMI maxing out at 100Hz.

Despite these minor issues, it’s a good option for those seeking an affordable ultrawide monitor with solid visuals and refresh rates. Overall, not bad!

No back lid bleeding, blackness in darker scene is awesome then IPS grey pixels, HDR Feature does match with windows HDR, looks greyish, distorted.
Gaming is good colors quality is good not good as IPS and need some custom tuning for better Color production but black smearing and ghosting effect is still there. But it only bother me for few days. After some time I get used to it. And it is only tiny little problem, people just exaggerate it so much. The HDMI cable comes with it only support 1440p @120hz with my rtx laptop. You will need USB-C to display port cable for 180hz max refresh rate for laptop users.

Overall good product, i’m happy with my investment.
