 Was looking for a laptop that I can use on the go for both gaming and a bit of editing. I really like the way the laptop is designed slim and compact. And it’s performance is perfect for my day to day use of both gaming and editing. SUPER HAPPY to have the Ideapad Gaming 3.
The best budget work and gaming laptop –
It’s a great value for money product within this price range, after checking multiple options I feel like this ticked all the boxes for me. Since I do light gaming this is good enough to run Valorant and CS without a problem at 144 FPS, paired with the 144 Hz monitor I get a smooth experience. The only thing I feel needs a little improvement is the camera.

I was looking for a work and gaming laptop and after too much research I ended up buying this one, Writing this after 2 days of use…This is one of the best gaming machines to buy under this price range & ticks all the boxes. It has core i5 11th gen powered with latest RTX 2050 gfx which is good configuration for entry level gaming laptop.
Pros:
Latest RTX 2050 gfx works smoothly for most games (have been playing CS Go & Valorant)
Screen: This comes with 144Hz refresh rate & works smoothly
Multiple modes which help manage balance between battery & performance
Camera comes with privacy shutter
Sound is decent..comes with pre installed Nahimic audio (good gaming experience with surround sound/audio sharing)
Cons
Camera is HD only..could have given FHD

So after almost one year of use,this is my review:
Display -Amazing, brightness is enough to work outside.
Gaming Performance -I have played GTA V Redux edition (137 gn) at Max settings without any issue for hours constantly100-120 fps),Hitman 3,The Witcher 3,Valorant,Call of Duty Warzone (Medium to High Settings), Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Max settings and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla with Medium Settings without any issue.
Speakers- I think is good enough for gaming.But watching movie/series additional speakers are required.
Battery-1-2 hours depending on usage (considering it has to power up two fans and one 90W graphics card)
Core i5 performs really steadily without any issue.I think if I increased the ram,the performance will make a huge difference.

This is my first gaming laptop and for its price, it is really decent. You can run many games on high settings and it will still be a smooth experience(run while plugged in). Tho heavy games like red dead redemption 2 are gonna give you an average experience. The laptop is great. If this is going to be your first time buying a gaming lap then this is a good option to consider. Battery backup is average, but thats to be expected with most gaming laptops in this price range. Screen is great as well if u plan on using this laptop indoors. Anyway been using this laptop for more than a week now and been enjoying it.:)
EDIT – Tried many games on this laptop.(note : i have not upgraded anything so its the standard 8gb ram and 512gb ssd)
Valorant : above 100 fps Constant, the lowest fps i ever encountered was 101 fps!
Red dead redemption 2 : average fps was 39-43 fps with medium settings
Forza horizon 5 : average fps was 50-56 fps on high settings. You will need to upgrade to 16gb for 60+ fps.
Rocket league : 120 fps constant highest settings
Max Payne 3 : very high settings 80 fps average.
The best budget work and gaming laptop –
This is a good laptop. I am using it for 4 months. So below are some good and bad points about this laptop based on my experience.
Good:- Graphics is good and you feel really good while playing games or watching movies. It’s really fast, build quality is also good. It’s cooling system works good and till now I didn’t faced any heating issue even when playing heavy games.
Bad:- It’s speaker is good but not upto what i expected it to be. Considering it’s a gaming laptop and the price, I want it’s speaker to be little bit more better. But the biggest disappointed I have with this laptop is it’s battery backup which really sucks. On default settings, it gives not even 1hr of battery backup which it seriously not acceptable.
Overall, it’s a good laptop if you don’t have power issues at your home.

I got this product just under 50k during Amazon Great Indian Sale. The efficiency, speed and gaming capabilities of the laptop are fantastic given its price. Only drawback I noticed is that even though they included provision to install an extra SSD into this, it just does not have enough space to install another SSD. Only option for storage upgrade is to replace the main SSD with 512GB storage with a bigger storage SSD. If enough space is provided to install an extra SSD, then I would have given 5 stars to this product.
