First order – Right speaker makes screeching sound.
Returned and got a Replacement – Screen Bleeding on the Right Corner.
Refunded.
Amazon Delivery , Returns , Refund – can’t complain
Retail Seller – maybe not their fault but two times defective product ?
HP Build quality to be blamed or my odds were bad ?
Comes with office student bundle and omen gaming hub.
250 nits can sit near a window and use at Max brightness.
144hz screen . This pc can’t reach 144hz refresh rate on modern aaa titles unless you play at lowest Settings (competitive shooters can make use of the screen)
RTX 3050 coupled with AMD Ryzen 5 and 8GB single channel memory :
GTA V (2013): Ultra settings 70-80fps with frame scaling at 1.25 (really good)
Witcher 3: Ultra Settings didn’t check fps but i can say it was above 60 fps
These are old games let’s move to 2021 games.
Forza 5 : High settings 80fps
On ultra 35 fps , extreme – game crashed.
Upgrading ram to 16gb might give a 10-15fps boost.
Genshin impact : Max settings 48- 60 fps , frame scaling at 1.3 (60fps locked game)
Warzone (ik it’s old) with DLSS on Quality : 70-80 fps.
any modern games can run at 60fps at high to mid settings.
Can expect to compete against GTX 1080 (pc) or a GTX 1660 (mobile) but a 1660 ti could beat a RTX 3050 when not considering RTX n DLSS.
Battery lasts remarkably longer as i expected a 1.5hrs on normal browser usage but it manages beyond ~3-5 Hrs.
Heating – as far as I used, really hot temperatures were reached when I accidentally left Forza 5 running for 2 hours came back to a hot right side keyboard.
Battery side palm rest was warm to touch.
Rest of the games didn’t made that much heat.
R/W speed 500MB ,
Very few ports ( do we really need ports these days except for peripherals ?)
wifi 6 so signal was better than older devices, even though connected to a older 5GHz router.
Overall good specs , decent performance , good pricing.
Bad manufacturing quality.
Edit :
16GB RAM
Elden ring 1.04.1 – High settings 52-60 fps
Borderlands 3 – High settings 80 fps
A customer –
While the laptop met our requirements, it took a few hours of debugging to get there. We almost returned it due to poor gaming performance until we figured out and set the appropriate graphics setting (the appropriate graphics card from the tray icon had to be selected and FPM had to be changed from 58 to 144). Suggestion for the seller: please pre-configure for gaming, given this is a gaming laptop.

This is the best gaming laptop in this price range just go for it, it checks all the boxes just add one more 8 gb ram stick to make it 16 that it will easily handle all the games that you want to play.
Single con is the display it is not very bright or colour accurate but you can hook up it up with a monitor for best gaming experience!!

Likes:
1. Design- not too heavy, and easy to handle laptop. blue gradient is cherry on cake
2. Processor- cant find processor with rtx graphics card in such price range.
3. screen refresh rate- I think this is the one which I really feel you must have.
Dislikes:
1. ram- It comes with 8gb of ram only, but is upgradable (recommended to upgrade) as I upgraded it to 16gb
2. Storage- It comes with 500gb ssd only, but also expandable (bought 1tb internal ssd separate)
3. fan noise- I think its non avoidable.
Best gaming laptop in this price range. Played Batman, Forza Horizon, Fifa without any issues.

Excellent performance in gaming, no loud fan noise and good thermals unlike my previous acer predator Helios 300 model. Keyboard is arranged somewhat weirdly and isn’t amazing for large hands but getting a RTX 3050 at this price is worth it. The laptop also looks like a normal laptop and not too ‘gamerey’ if that makes a difference to you.

I personally recommend upgrading to 16gb ram
Also buy the windows 10 variant windows 11 still got a few bugs
Overall the laptop is amazing and processor is amazing the graphics are mind blowing
Don’t place any hopes on the camera
Sound is amazing
