This is a clone from the previous gen omen released last year with a different CPU. The new 14th gen 13700hx is a beast for sure, but the difference in gaming performance does not justify the price hike (40000 for the 4060 rn).

I purchased this laptop directly from the exclusive HP store on 14 January.
Was about to go for old version with 13700hx almost bought it but saw 14th gen version on the day I was going to give token amount to the store and decided to go for this one since I heard great reviews from critics about 14 gen series overall after launch on 9th January.
Ran cinebench and 3d mark tests , scores were great.
This laptop is priced at Hp website for 181k INR , but they are offering 10k cashback on many cards, which is available for HP official Store Purchase as well and additionally only stores are offering 8-10% extra discount(You have to ask them else they won’t say anything, coz why not get more margin right).
So all in all the laptop cost me only 154.7k inr after card discount and additional store discount on 181k mrp.
Plus they me the Bag, keyboard cover, and cleaning gel. And I also signed up for Hyperx deal where they give you Hyperx pulsefire 2 mouse , Hyperx Stinger cloud 2 headphones and Hyperx Mouse pad for only 1997₹ which in reality cost close to 10k. I’ve checked the price on Amazon for all of them, they’re great products.
And for people thinking the price difference is too much between 4060 and 4070 maybe don’t know that 4070 is a lot more powerful than 4060.
4050 4060 are almost similar but 4070 is different league.
I’ve played all the games I could get from my friends steam account to test,
GTA5: On power and on battery as well runs like butter and battery still lasts around 1.5 hrs with this heavy game.
Forza horizon 4: on power can run super smooth on full ultra settings , no issues at all but definitely have to lower down the graphics to run smoothly on battery which is logical since it’s a really demanding game.
Same goes for witcher 3 , on power everything is like butter.
On battery as well it runs great but some settings like hair water shadows you can turn down maybe , again demanding game.
Old games like half life series, csgo will not have any issues running on battery.
Even the campaign games which are 2015 or older won’t be of any issue.
Battery is like any other gaming laptop, for normal usage I haven’t started working on it yet since right now I’m just testing but So far I think it’s easily giving 3 to 4 hours on normal usage maybe even more since I haven’t done normal work on it yet.
But have tried youtube and all
And gaming on battery is obviously not great, 1 on medium heavy game and 1.5 maybe on light games.
But it is best not to play heavy games on battery , it greatly reduces battery life and increases thermal issues in the long run.
All in all Great Laptop, great screen , keyboard is excellent fell and RGB as well, weight is well it’s heavy and charger is also really heavy(280w)
Reason to buy this Laptop was not just the specs but the trust I have on HP and Dell in regards of after sale support.
I bought a Lenovo legion slim 5 prior to this 4 months back and it was defective, found out on day 3 and all the proof
Still it took 2 visit to service center, 2 onsite support visit, complaint on Consumer helpline, Hypertension medicine at age of 26 and more than 4 weeks of struggle and calls to get my money back after deduction of 3000₹ from main amount.
So no matter the specs or reviews , always buy any electronic item for which you know you have good after sale support in your city or state.

Tried couple of older games:
Hitman Absolution – Maxed out settings (handles with ease)
Hitman (new) 1/2/3 – Maxed out settings (takes a bit of effort, fans go crazy at times)
Battlefield 4 – Maxed out settings (handles with ease)
Battlefield 1 – Maxed out settings (handles with ease)
Tried on external monitor with 144Hz.
Overall a great laptop for good gaming experience.

Hp is incredible. They released a 14th gen laptop first in the market while rest of competition will take months to catch up.
Specs are pretty good too but one thing that I don’t like about this is the screens real estate. The bezels are way to thick at bottom and screen space is less. If you are using 3d softwares or photoshop or even playing games screen is small. That is my only gripe
