The new amd naming scheme is confusing for the sake of dumping old processors under 7000 series.
7730u is old 5800u i.e zen 3 + vega.
Meaning, you’re buying something with a cpu that has been around since about 2 years and a igpu that has been around since 2018 or so.
7735u is zen3+ + RDNA 2. This one has a better igpu. But it’s still 6800u rebadged.
If you care about getting the latest processor, you’d need to check for 7840u.
The 4 stands for zen 4.
Zen 3 is great, Vega isn’t bad… You’d get great performance and battery life from this.
But selling an older processor under ‘latest’ branding is deceptive and worth boycotting.. Because the latest one is much faster than this….
