    je suis passé d’un DS418play à celui-ci. Cela fait dix ans que j’utilise ce genre de boîtier.
    J’ai ajouté :
    – 1 barrette de 16Go Ram (HyperX Impact HX426S15IB2) -> 20go maintenant
    – 2 SSD M.2 512Go (PNY)
    – 5 disques de 8 To WD
    Je m’en sers pour :
    * mes photos de famille (300 000)
    * mes docs pro
    * mes sauvegardes de projets
    * plex bien-sur
    * téléchargement
    * messagerie perso
    * drive
    * surveillance …
    * docker : image pi-hole (serveur DNS)
    * virtualisation (vm bdd oracle pour mon boulot)
    * synchro de mes docs et photos avec une offre cloud

    je l’utilise à fond … (3 caméras, j’ai ajouté une licence …)

    J’ai créé deux volumes (1 raid 1 et 1 raid 5). J’ai positionné un M.2 de cache en lecture pour chaque volume.

    le seul reproche que je peux faire est le proc qui est un peu juste pour mes usages

    sinon, une merveille 😉

    Hab die Synology Diskstation DS1520+ seit fast zwei Jahren im Einsatz. Regelmäßige Softwareupdates, leise und zuverlässig. Betreib sie als Raid5, 24 TB, 3 Platten. Kann nichts negatives finden.

    He reemplazado un Synology que tenía hace años y que ha dejado de funcionar.
    El que este modelo permita la incorporación de SSDs para el cache de lectura/escritura (es necesario 1 para cada) maximiza la velocidad de una manera fenomenal.
    La UI es la misma, y al ser eficiente y estar uno acostumbrado, es algo bueno.
    Lo recomiendo.

    Beautifully packaged and simplicity itself to set up. The screwless bays come with screws, which in my case certainly stay in the box. The drive cages slide silently into the box and I will apply the key to them later although there are no little fingers to cause any accidents any more.

    My first impression is how quiet the thing is, although I can feel the air being pushed from the back and out through the side and front. I love the design where there is space around the drives used for cooling. Also the separate brick power supply is perfect for me as I have plenty of space for it and it takes heat away from where it matters.

    I popped in 5 WD40PURX drives and DS7 installed like it was on rails. DS7 warns about these drives not being on the nice (WD40EFRX) list but I don’t know why: it seems a bit pedantic to me. Perhaps on their NVR series they warn the other way around? I chose Synology Hybrid Raid for flexibility and maximum usable capacity, and the BTRFS format which is new to me. DS7 is very quickly up and running and I’m signed in to my Synology account to get a Quick Connect ID. Product registration via the a/c is automatic. After a day or 2, DS7 gives the drives a clean bill of health using an unintrusive background check, and the drive lights flash incessantly until that’s done. After that, power saving puts everything to sleep when demand is off, which it will be frequently for me as a home user.

    I bought this as a consolidation of several disparate lesser NAS boxes. I had already been impressed by DS6 and DS7 but a DS115 or DS215j did not have anything like enough power for surveillance or Photo Station. This relative beast has 8GB non-upgradable of DDR4 RAM and a quick quad-core processor and I look forward to tackling surveillance and media again. CPU and RAM monitors are pretty idle right now. There are 4 gigabit ethernet sockets out back and I am taking full advantage with Netgear GS724T switches and link aggregation (LAG) between them using ethernet and fibre channel (FC) cables.

    Apart from surveillance and photo, my core uses are file, audio and video sharing, backup and web site hosting, all of which I could do on a Zyxel NSA320 vintage 2012. But DS7, cameras and mobile phones are the future.

    I have installed Photos and transferred a few dozen old JPGs to make a start. The interface is quick, unlike the DS215j. I haven’t tried mobile access or sharing yet, but I’m sure the DS1520+ is more than adequate.

    Just 2 words to the wise: 1) Don’t expect to be able to expand an SHR volume with smaller drives later; use your smallest capacity at the start and (2) Beware the WD EFAX which although a red drive does not perform, unlike the standard EFRX; think of it as a Red Lite (pun intended).

    I am very impressed, although I have yet to try Surveillance Station or photo sharing.

    I am also about to try the cache with 2 NVMe M.2 SSD drives, which hopefully will make a difference to popular Web pages when the hard drives have to spin up.

    Arrivato in un batter d’occhio, in sostituzione del modello precedente che dava alcuni problemi con la rete. Arrivato il giorno seguente. Qualità Synology come sempre. Consigliato.
