Very fast for the cheap price, Value for the money, but power hungry, consumes more than 65W as rated (100W around peak) work well on 610 motherboard

If you are looking for the best CPU in budget then go for it.
NOTE – IT REQUIRES A GRAPHIC CARD TO RUN THE SYSTEM. SO CHECK YOUR NEEDS AND BUDGET. If it fits for your budget go for it.
Easy to Install (unlike AMD CPUs). Fan quality is superb too – but try to upgrade to a air cooler fan or liquid cooler fans if you live in a warm place.

Ótimo processador, muito potente e com PCI Express 5.0 e DDR5. Comprei o i5-12400F com um preço imperdível, quase pela metade do preço do i5-12400. A entrega foi rápida, mas a caixa do processador chegou toda amassada. Venho muito mal embalada, em plástico bolha fino, uma situação muito recorrente na amazon nesse últimos dois anos.

This has gone onto an MSI PRO B760M-A as part of a new build for my son. This CPU offers good value performance in a mid-range gaming system. Load times are snappy and the included cooler is pretty decent. We will be replacing that in the future though it’s awesome Intel still bundle good quality coolers with their CPUs.

Got this i5 12th gen processor under 7k at sale, paired it with MSI Pro H610M- E DDR4 , Performing like a beast on a day to day task and casual to mid casual gaming , just one thing to take note the stock intel cooler doesn’t perform as good, so better go with another third party CPU cooler I am using Deep cool ag400 and the CPU temp never goes above 60 degrees!! Great product
Note: One thing to note, you might want to upgrade the cooler if you use it for heavy workloads. For my use case, the stock cooler seems sufficient but will review during summers.

For several years now I’ve been using an Acer tower TC-885 based on their motherboard and a 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8400 for video work but it was time for an upgrade as it was so sluggish plus the motherboard was extremely limited. I bought the Gigabyte B760 mother board along with a 12th gen Intel Core i5-12400F processor and 4 x 8gb of DDR4 ram. Total cost was under $300 from Amazon. I already had a copy of Win 10 which was upgraded to Win 11 plus hard drives and SSD’s along with all the apps on an old AMD based desktop. It took around 2 days to get the old case repurposed with new hardware but the performance is astounding for video editing which by my estimates does the job in a quarter of the time.
This intel CPU is very good value for money at $110 for the performance hike and the Gigabyte MOBO has far more ports than the old ACER and has 4 x Sata, 4 rear and 2 front panel mixed USB ports, a x16 PCIE slot for a graphics card and 2 x x1 PCIe slots I’m using for 4 more USB3 ports plus 4 x extra SATA ports. Best of all is the PCIe socket for the 256 gb NVME memory stick where I put the OS. Best part, it boots in under 20 seconds.
