I bought this product to use as a Proxmox server in my HomeLab setup. This is a consumer grade product but it is the cheapest 16 core/32 threads CPU that can work as a fully functional VM server. I saw a lot of reviews and I can confirm that this thing is a BEAST!!! VMWare also works great all my components! Thanks AMD. BTW, this is better than Intel if you decide to go with VMWare since all those cores are “full cores”. Intel uses those E-core/P-core construction and they will not be compatible in VMWare, at least with my knowledge.

Passo a questo processore dopo un i9-14900k. Intel purtroppo viaggia su temperature troppo alte se si utilizza il 100% della CPU, in più causa frequenti crash di windows 11 se non si limita il turbo boost default.
Il Ryzen invece lavora serenamente senza dover nemmeno settare il bios, gestisce decisamente meglio i grandi carichi di lavoro senza nessun problema. Le temperature sono alte rispetto alla media ma parliamo di un processore sopra la media.

It’s a monster CPU. Needs the cooling they recommend. Tad overkill for browsing the internet unless you use Chrome. But overkill is underrated!
But you get fabulous support. I had to RMA my original one (it wasn’t actually broken, found out the motherboard is the cause, and Gigabyte is showing me the wrong way to provide Support). They were helpful, paid for shipping. Did everything amazingly.
I hope they pay their staff enough, but I’d love to see a tip jar or something for their support teams. I’d love to buy them a drink/coffee or just contribute to the company party fund.
