Should you buy the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X over other 8 core CPUs in the market? Well, it depends upon your choice and preference, I won’t say AMD made the 5800X cheap as at the same price you can get a Ryzen 9 3900X, but you would not get that much gaming performance.
No doubt, the Ryzen 7 5800X is the fastest 8 core CPU now, as the Ryzen 5 5600X but at a premium cost. If you are a gamer who needs than 8 cores to work, you should definitely go for Ryzen 7 5800X, but if you feel that you will only game, you are better off with the Ryzen 5 5600X.
However, if you are a content creator or a professional who needs many CPU cores for work, you can get a Ryzen 9 3900X instead-but. If you plan to game also, consider the Ryzen 7 5800X or spend some more to get the Ryzen 9 5900X as it’s the value champion but hard to find in the market.

Cons:-
1. Amazon’s packaging is getting worse day by day for electronics. Box was crumpled on one side.
2. 5800x is a bit pricey compared to 11700k which performs more or less similar.
3. Unless you have a 360mm aio or a huge air cooler like noctua D15, don’t buy this CPU.
4. If you don’t know undervolting, temps can increase to 95 degrees in a moment.
5. AMD could have provided a wraith prism cooler for namesake atleast considering thei high pricing.
Pros:-
1. Amazing single core performance.
2. Undervolt with a negative graph, the temps won’t cross 75 degrees cpu with a 280mm aio.
3. Unlike 5600x which is strictly for gaming, this 8 core cpu is versatile and can be used for production works.
4. Might age well unlike 5600x.
5. Is cheaper when the price of motherboard is included. Most budget mobos like asrock b550m pro 4 can run this cpu without breaking a sweat. Intel budget b560 boards are crappy and the price of good b560 board with 11700k is higher than 5800x with b550 board.
6. Doesn’t bottleneck even a rtx 3090.
Tldr: toasty if you don’t have a good cooling setup. If you can afford get 5900x. Else good cpu if you ignore vfm aspect.

paired with asus 6750 xt on b450 chipset
running 40 degrees at idle,85 degrees at 99%
using cooler master ml240l v2 for cooling

Excellent CPU for gaming and productivity. Amd ironed out all the bugs in zen1. My system is now super responsive and the input lag in games arw very low . The code complication is now much much faster than my R5 1600. My streams are now super smooth and well.
Pros
1. Excellent for gaming and productivity
2. Smoother experience
3. Codes run much faster
4. So far didn’t experience any bugs which was there in zen1.
Cons.
1. Expensive, AMD is now greedy(supposed to be 33k max got for 40k)
2. Temp is high(just undervolt the cpu with am offset of -0.150v, now the max temp is 65c max)
3. Power consumption will be high compared to previous 9 core zen 2, if you don’t undervolt that is ..

Best AMD processor so far. Got it for 40k.
Runs a bit hot on cinebench(82 degrees) but zen3 is build to withstand this kind of temperature (upto 95 degrees). Have pair it with strix b550-f and corsair hydro h100i.

so, i was one of the (statistically few) who hit the silicon lottery and struck dirt. basically, my 5800x was defective. this is just a PSA, if you encounter BSODs/crashes to reboot/fatal hardware errors after installing your new CPU, it is likely defective. i was getting WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR at random times, event IDs WHEA-18 and 46. no combination of the CPU with a new motherboard, different ram, 1 stick of ram, XMP profiles off, PBO disabled, bios updates, windows reinstalls, chipset driver updates, or other device driver updates resolved the issue for me. it would occur under any load at any temperature. it’s also worth mentioning that it worked fine for about 5 days before issues started to happen. if your PC is producing errors you simply cannot resolve and it started with the new CPU, please return it ASAP!! i have ordered a new one already and shipped the defective unit back. i used my old ryzen 2600 to isolate the 5800x as the issue, and my system runs completely stable as long as i keep it on. i’m sad it was defective, but ultimately, i’m not going to let it damage my opinion of the CPU, as defective products are guaranteed to slip through here and there, and amazon is extremely good about their return policy in my experience.
anyway, with that out of the way, let’s talk about the CPU itself. when mine was functioning normally, it was awesome. coming from an old ryzen 5 2600, the performance gain of the 5800x is a night and day difference. it’s 3 years old now, but its price and still-relevant performance make it an immensely good value. it squeezed new fps gains out of my gtx 1080, and was far more than enough for my new rtx 4070. the gains in performance are even more obvious now that i’m back on the 2600 while i wait for my replacement to arrive. it was as easy to install as any other AM3/AM4 CPU. i will give a heads up however that it does run hot and is known to do so. however, AMD has explicitly stated that even 90°C is safe at full load. a high quality air cooler will be enough if you don’t plan on doing serious overclocking, like me. a thermalright peerless assassin or scythe fuma should be more than enough for stock clocks with PBO left on auto. i paired this with 32gb of gskill ripjaws V with 3600mhz XMP profile, and the two paired wonderfully. the motherboard i ended up with is an MSI MAG B550 tomahawk max wifi, but the CPU will work just fine on most B450/X470 motherboards as long as your bios is up to date!!!! please do not let my disclaimer dissuade you from buying this amazing CPU, it can happen to anyone who buys any CPU, from Intel too! i can’t wait for my replacement to arrive and complete my system, i wholeheartedly recommend this CPU for great performance per dollar.

The processor is just awesome!! Earlier I had Ryzen 5 3400G which is a 4-core processor, due to which multitasking was bit slow. But after using this processor the performance has gone just top notch. Agree that the price is bit high but it is value for money. And for gaming and productivity just blindly go for it. You will not regret. Also thanks for the seller khariye.com for fast delivery.

Recomendado.
