Switched out my old 6 core Ryzen to this one that gives me 2 more cores and uses less power. So less heat to have to get rid of and utilizes certain tasks better with the 2 extra CPU cores. So I’m putting off the need to upgrade my motherboard/memory beyond AM4 (or at least for now…)

I have GA-X370-Gaming 5 motherboard and with just a BIOS update this CPU worked perfectly well. I would say I got 10 to 20 FPS more by upgrading the CPU then again my GPU is still 1070. If you have old Ryzen motherboard and you’re looking forward to upgrade, just make sure you have latest and greatest BIOS version and you’re good to upgrade.

The Ryzen 7 5700X has proven to be a great processor for gaming, especially for real-time strategy games. Age of Empires 4 suffered slow down for me when trying to select a large number of units with an R5 3600 or 5600. Its improved performance, paired with a great price point and low power usage, make it a highly attractive option for budget-conscious gamers who still demand top-tier performance. Additionally, the stability of the AM4 platform makes it a reliable and long-lasting investment for those looking to upgrade their gaming system from a Ryzen 2000 or 3000 series CPU. Overall, it seems like the Ryzen 7 5700X is a great choice for gamers looking for an affordable and efficient higher core count processor.

This processor is giving unbelievable performance, It was my upgrade from Ryzen 5 to Ryzen 7, Even though i can understand the difference very clearly. The best thing about this processor is i never ever seen the CPU utilisation reached more than 50%. Gives good fps and runs high end games very easily. Definitely an Overkill processor
No thanks. –
This is a great processor which only runs at 23% during Steam’s Insurgency game! So much so that it is bottlenecking my old 1070GTX by quite a mile until I upgrade my GPU! However this processor runs 6 degree celcius hotter than Ryzen 6 cores processors because of the extra 2 cores. Overall, this processor is highly recommended to be able to handle intensive tasks and heavy gaming!

New generation ryzen 7. Good for simulation paired with my gigabyte 550 atheros motherboard with 16 GB (8GB x 2) 3200 MHz RAM. You need to purchase a separate cooler as it does not have any. I used Deepcool 400 gamex which is pretty good.

It’s the best thing you can put in your am4 socket, runs phenomenally.

Awesome CPU it’s worth upgrading if you have 1000,2000,3000 series ryzen processors ..
It uses 65w which is so good for a 8 core chip and it’s very fast and optimised well.
Its 10/10 very well with the money.

What to say about AMD just go for it
REMEMBER YOU NEED A GRAPHICS CARD TO RUN YOUR PC USING THIS PROCESSOR OTHERWISE GO FOR G SERIES LIKE 5700g
