While the design intent is brilliant in that the fan will only come on once the load crosses about 40%, the fan also comes on when the temperature inside the PSU crosses a certain threshold (~60°C). Nothing wrong there as the fan must do its job. All good in theory
However, when the fan does come on it’s noisy as hell! And it’s not as infrequent as one might think. 10 minutes interval in winters (~20°C temperature inside the home) has me dreading about the ear puncturing future ahead as summers approach.
The high quality individually braided cables, modular design, SFX form factor are all great along with a reasonable price. But whoever chose the fan doomed this model’s success.
The product listing says 5 years manufacturer warranty but not certain if Lian Li has a service center in India (yet).
