I bought this to test a Brocade switch that has 2.5G port. The switch ONLY supports 2.5G on these ports so they cannot be tested with anything other than a 2.5G NIC. I plugged this into my laptop and was able to verify all ports on the switch that are 2.5G work. The data throughput seems good, but I did not run this adapter very long or with large files.

This device makes us to share our 5G/4G phone internet with laptop, router and pc. I use it to connect usb c end to phone and lan end to router. Now all my devices get around 800-900 5G speed using phone and router connection. If 5G signal is strong in our area then anyone can share the internet of mobile to router to help all devices to use the high speed of 5G. I also keep charging the phone using wireless charging so that phone do not get discharged while using internet of phone
DSC –
I am using on a M2 macbook pro. When it works it works at line rate. When it doesn’t it doesn’t even sync with the switch. I have to unplug it wait for a while and plug it back in. It may be a MacOS bug, or it might be adaptor issue. But I have never had a USB accessory just stop working like this one does. CableCreation take a look at compatibility with latest MacOS.
Update: customer care said they would ship a new one … crickets. Nothing showed up yet.

I have only two minor gripes.
1 ) the R45 cable does not click and stay securely into place.
2) The white and very bright transmit light that flashes
Other than that, it works good.

This dongle is an excellent performer at a pretty good price. All plastic construction, but thats fine as it still feels reasonably well built. Interestingly it has a white activity LED, which some seem to have found annoying but I quite like. The one flaw it has is that ethernet cables don’t seem to latch into it like they do on other ethernet ports. They are held securely, but are hard to remove. Solid 4.5/5

Double the bandwidth when connected to lan from wifi with this adapter. Happy with it.
