I would really like to send this back but cant be bothered to remove all the connections and get another. The issue is with the gap between the PCI-E 16 slot for the Graphics card and the other PCI-E X1 slots. This is sold as a gaming motherboard, so you would expect that they realise that Graphics card with fans fitted are quite thick, so much so that on this motherboard they will cover the PCI-E X1 slot. So this only left me with one expansion slot. Very poorly designed, and it was an MSI RX graphics card, so very poorly planned considering its their own brand graphic cards, you would think they would check it!!!!! It also does not leave much room on the back to fit the HDMI cable as it really tight against the chassis. Apart from that BIOS software etc was pretty good, and some good utilities. If you need the extra expansion slots and plan on fitting a large Graphics card then avoid this!! Not Happy at all, would be great if I could swap it for another MSI board.

Unit looks good but does not produce the goods. This board supposedly has graphics, but only with certain chips. I bought thinking I had good onboard graphics, but find NO graphics are available. You have to buy a separate graphics card or a large expensive chip, which changes the rig considerably. I regard this as misinformation.

The motherboard had a sticker that said ‘AMD Ryzen 5000 Desktop ready’ However it would not boot with my 5600G
So I had to swap with a friends 3200G which worked, update to the latest BIOS (7A38vBD) via MFLASH, and then swap everything back again – which then worked. Now I am using the 5600G on this motherboard.
Shouldn’t have had to have done this if the motherboard was truly ‘5000 desktop ready’ from the beginning.
And also, this motherboard does *NOT* have a button to flash the BIOS without a CPU. IF YOU WANT TO UPDATE THE BIOS ON THIS MOTHERBOARD, YOU WILL NEED A TEMPORARY COMPATIBLE CPU (3000 series).

Received without a packaging box from amazon though the motherboard was secured and working fine. It is worth it to buy it in less then 7k i got it in sale for 6.5k supports ryzen 3rd gen out of the box will get updates for all future 5th gen CPUs from ryzen as well. Decent VRMs not recommending to overclock but it is compatible you can do some minor overclocking with this MB as well.

i have amd ryzen 3600. it worked out of box without bios update.
1. the motherboard could not handle the processor 3600 cpu voltage automatically, was causing freeze here and there. i had to choose the cpu voltage manually to 1.3v. everything was working perfect.
2. also have to swtich off pression boost and pefromance boot auto to avoid bods and freeze. so all.my cores are at 3.6 ghz. even with this the system is blazing fast.
3. i think to avoid these compromise one have to choose either b550 or x570 or do aome tweaking in the current board with appropriate cooler to over clock.
4.ONE IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE IS THE ONBOARD AUDIO QUALITY. IT KIND OF SUCKS. I EVEN HAVE A320 GIGABYTE S2H BOARD WHICH HAD FAR SUPERIOR AUDIO QUALITY.
I AM PLANING TO UPGRADE MY AUDIO, SINCE THE ONBOARD AUDIO IS NOT WORTH MENTIONING. WORST AUDIO QUALITY.
If you are ready to compromise these. this board is still the best in this budget in terms of performance.

So, I bought prime just to get this motherboard fast but after receiving the product I found that JFP1 Panel in the motherboard was faulty because I wasn’t able to turn one my pc. I had to remove the case cable and then re attach every time just to turn my pc on. After replacing the motherboard, the problem seems to be gone. Overall, nice product.

It’s been several months using this mobo. There has been no problems whatsoever with any ports or anything. I was running my pc on a SATA ssd till now, when I decided to go for a m.2 ssd.
The MOBO does have a m.2 slot, just below the pcie slot. When I tried installing the SSD, it came to my notice that the screw to place the SSD was not even there. I had kept all of the extra screws that came with the mobo, where I couldn’t find a single screw of the same size.

I used this product with a ryzen 7 3rd gen 3700, so I can confirm it definitely works with 3rd gen. So this board has 4 slots for ssd’s and hardrives, but note that two are most likely going to be covered by your gpu. I have a 2080 msi Duke, which granted is a massive card, but even a normal size card covers the the these two slots. Aswell the WiFi card slot will cover the first fan of your gpu if you have a big card, another thing to cover. Next negative, the m.2slot is right underneath the gpu! So I haven’t used this type of ssd as my gpu is likely to lean on it and make it to hot. The board is one the smaller side, however other than the negatives stated it has a good bios and is easy to fit. It is a good board, it’s just the m.2 slot and WiFi card slot is to close to the gpu slot in my opinion.
