I was looking for a capture card to stream games directly from my phone to PC, so this automatically requires a card that should be fast and have no latency. One day all of a sudden, this PiBox capture card popped in and looking at the price without even a second thought I brought it. Since I already have two products from PiBox. I know the quality is going to be an A grade and if I’d require any support the guys at PiBox won’t let me down.
About the product:
I have Capture Card-Tough variant (the wired one)
This is also entirely metal and is Plug-N-Play.
No drivers or software are required.
Is very easy to setup (a handy dandy manual is included)
It pops up as a USB 3.0 capture device.
(You can even use your phone’s display as a camera).
I’ve used it for about a week now and for extended hours (4+ at one go) it doesn’t heat up, setting it up is easy if you have the experience. They’ve also thrown in a cool carry case and a phone holder as a gift. There’s almost no latency which makes it even more favorable to use it for gaming on the big screen. You can use it for other purposes such as screen mirroring and stuff to consume your content on the big screen. The maximum output as mentioned is 1080p 60FPS. The video output is high quality as you’d expect it to be. There are a few videos or more which I’ll be uploading/streaming directly to my YouTube channel where you can see the video and audio quality. (gg.gg/stsna if you wanna check out).
Overall, for the given price and quality of the product and Support of PiBox this is the best one people should opt for.

Don’t Buy Cheap Quality Products and this is one of them, It Overheats and Stops working , I don’t know why Amazon is selling this without even testing it. It is not even capable of 60fps as it is promised in the bio. Selling it for 800 Rs is just nonsense, it is not even Worth of 80 Rs.

Nice one
Worked without driver in my Linux pc. HD and full hd are working fine. No control on compression quality.

It didn’t work. Most probably cos of my setup.

The media could not be loaded.
1. 4K30 recording is pretty stressful on the device. 1080p60 works like a charm, haven’t tested faster fps.
2. Heats up, but relatively safe. Used for 140 minutes straight, didn’t fry itself.
3. The hook on the side doesn’t fit anything.
4. Works with mobiles out of the box, tested with Xperia Z5 premium & Realme 9 Pro+
5. Both the device and USB C adapter are USB3.1G1 capable. Tested with an external SSD, speeds were as expected.
6. Can be detected as a camera device so most Win10/11 PCs should be able to use the Camera App to use it in the most basic form. Anything more use specific software like OBS Studio. I just wanted to use as Virtual & Portable monitor for my SBCs( Like RaspberryPi etc) and Cameras so, don’t care, haven’t tested.
7. Comes with a weird mobile stand, it’s complementary, so no complains there I guess but the phone does slip off it, so please exercise caution.

And yet another one of those deceitful products with a blue USB connector suggesting it is USB3.0 when it is not. Enumerates in Linux (lsusb -t) clearly under the USB2.0 (480M) bus. Someone also went through the trouble of naming the device “USB3. 0 capture”. Seriously?
Let’s get to the garbage part. Product also got very hot, very quickly and could not be used in Linux (channel 0 on device could not be opened). Put it back in the box real quick, returning it.
Maybe I got a defective unit but that changes nothing regarding the actively lying about USB3.0 support part. One star, don’t buy. There are other devices like this out there that work properly and do not claim to be USB3.0 when they are not.
