I got this device for streaming and it works perfectly. Passthrough lag is very very low. I feel like it is the best bang for your buck and simple to setup and get to using. Very happy with my purchase. Would highly recommend.

My Nvidia only has 1 HDMI and the rest are Displayports. It didn’t work from the beginning until I reread the Instructions and I got it working. I don’t have a second monitor for my Gaming PC, mainly my Streaming PC. I hooked up the HDMI to my Monitor and works perfectly. I connected the USB to my OBS? 100% quality!
Allow me to show how I got it all working.
I have a Gsync monitor with 4K and this NZXT is 4K 24hz. Terrible hz in my opinion of rmy monitor. So I hooked back up my Displayport and disconnected the HDMI while I have the USB hooked to my streaming PC. On my OBS I was able to see the main screen using Clone.
I played my Sniper Elite V2 remastered game to record to my OBS. OHHH Man the Quality is fantastic! The 4K is not bad! It was slow on my Main monitor but not my OBS. Everything looked good! I use to stream and record my gameplays using Teleport and NDI. Horrible. NDI Sound was soo bad. Teleport Quality was horrible. I hooked to my POE. Didn’t do much of a job connecting 2 PC’s. I also played Path of Exile while recording, lag was so bad. But I thank God for the NZXT that did the job! I did some research first by a streamer who told me about Game Capture card. I checked the reviews with 2 different Capture Cards and this one? Took the cake! So I bought it, with 2 Better 4K HDMI’s (I figured I needed it) and 3.5mm Aux Cable. Yea I already figured the sounds won’t work through the 4K60FPS so I was ahead of it.
Everything checks out and works perfectly for me after some recording tests.
How do I give this rating? 10 out of 5 stars. Thank you!

I’ve been using it a lot recently and it works just as you’d expect it. It’s very easy to use and setup in OBS Studio. I’ve used it to stream to Twitch, Youtube and even to Discord and it works very well. Picture quality is great and the frame rate is consistent, though the latter tends to drop or skip a little bit sometimes (very negligible; around 1-2 frames) when the card gets hot, since it doesn’t have any kind of cooling system (and I didn’t expect it to have one given the price). Using it in a well-ventilated room is a good idea, but ultimately not a requirement.
One small warning though: you’re probably better off buying a separate USB-A to USB-C data cable, because the one included in the box is VERY short, which can be troublesome for some people’s setups. The HDMI cable’s length is fine, however.
Overall, it’s very much worth the price compared to the more popular capture cards out there, especially if all you want to capture/stream is a Nintendo Switch or older consoles. I’m very happy with my purchase!

I went through a phase of trying to find a good capture card that would not be too taxing on my streaming laptop power-wise, while also being able to output a stable signal from my gaming PC, and I got to say… this wasn’t quite it.
The signal seems good at first, the colors are there and the image is pretty crisp, but after running a test stream I immediately noticed issues.
First off, after a few moments the image constantly shifted a couple of pixels upward, meaning that there’s a constant strip of mismatched colors along the bottom side of the screen that returns every time you refresh it.
Secondly, the stutter. I initially bought this because of an unpleasant occasional stutter from my EVGA XR1 PRO that I was told could be alleviated by just getting a lower end card, but this was not the case: This card had it much worse. Every few seconds the image locks and jumps, and while for some people it won’t matter, for people trying to get a smooth stream it’s definitely going to be noticeable, especially when capturing side-scrollers.
So yeah, overall it works, but for the price range it’s sitting at, there’s better options from EVGA and the like, I’d just go with them unless you catch this one on a deal and the image consistency is not a huge deal to you.

I got this so I could stream games from my Nintendo Switch to discord with my buddies. Setup was incredibly easy and the quality is great, but my only gripe is that is doesn’t come with it’s own capture software. I just use OBS and it works great though. Highly recommend this for a fairly priced capture card.
