I got this SSD on prime day sale. Offers overall solid performance good read and write speeds at PCIE Gen4. Tbh you cant really see much difference in game load time on this as compared to a high end PCIE Gen 3 SSD but for productivity its very good. The Samsung Magician Software that comes with it also allows to keep a track of the drive health.

Got the 1 tb SSD 980. Getting read/ write speeds as listed by Samsung. I have installed this SSD on a 10 year old z77 chipset motherboard with i7 3770k. I had to purchase pci express nvme adapter as this motherboard does not have m.2 slot. I also have crucial bx 500 and SanDisk ultra SSD on the same system and the read / write speeds are 280/260 which is very slow compared to this nvme. Extremely satisfied with the purchase.

The disk requires PCI Express version 4.0 for maximum performance. Unfortunately certain B550 motherboards deliver only PCI Express version 3.0 when equipped with AMD processors with integrated graphic.

Installed in HP OMEN 17-cb0040nr to replace the factory 256 Samsung drive. Replicated and expanded the OS partition using Macrium Reflect. worked perfectly and the extra breathing room is welcome. Installation is a snap with M.2, seat it correctly in the slot, push it down to the mounting point and install the screw.
