Better than Kingston SSD. I bought this product due to excellent replacement policy of EVM, Mumbai service center. Instant and easy replacement.

I bought this to speed up my old HP Pavilion 15-BS576TX Laptop 2017 model (Intel Core i5 7th Gen) which only supports SATA III SSD. After a lot of research, I found this EVM M.2 SSD is suitable as per my needs. It is cost effective and after installing it I saw significant performance improvement in booting up my device.
Tips for those who are looking for a similar upgrade to their laptop: Check 1st if your old laptop has any port where SSD can be installed. There are 2 ways to do – i) replace the existing DVD drive – need a caddy to install the SSD and ii) Install SSD in any internal M.2 port if available. To confirm it, the best way to check in the laptop’s service/user manual. Internal M.2 port of a laptop can be few different types like SATA/PCIe or NVMe etc. Where NVMe are the latest and can be found in most new laptops. It is important to check laptop’s compatibility with such configurations. If the laptop only supports SATA, a NVMe SSD will not work. So before buying any SSD, confirm this.

I bought this SSD for my Lenovo IdeaPad 3 (S340-14IIL), a 2020 model laptop with Core i3 10th Gen, which supports M.2 2242 or 2280 SSD’s. I installed the SSD into my laptop, but the laptop wasn’t recognising it. I tried making changes to many internal settings but nothing worked. That’s when I took my laptop to a repair shop. The guy over there told me that this is a more modern DOUBE SIDED SSD which was supported only in the latest laptops. My laptop, being a 2020 model, supported only single sided SSD’s.
So before you buy this, please consult a technician to know whether your laptop supports Single or double sided SSD’s. Except fot this tiny thing, the SSD is perfect and is best at this rate.
