It functioned flawlessly when we wrote M Disc Blue ray 25GB. Good.

This LG WH14NS40 drive comes with firmware version1.04 but after sidegrading it to WH16NS60 1.02 it works just fine with MakeMKV.
While the drive seems absolutely brand new, the odd thing is that it’s packaged in cheap pink plastic and a generic box. Almost seemed like a refurbished unit, no idea why it’s not packaged in proper LG boxing.
So far no issues, running it just fine in Windows 10 1909, and after sidegrading am able to make backups of my UHD discs.

I have had one of these for the past 8 years and it only recently failed. This replacement was built in 2024 and I have had no problem with it at all

This was my first purchase on amazon and I am very happy with the entire shopping experience be it pricing, timely shipping and packaging.
I am very happy to have this BD writer and already using for archiving my stuffs. Writing a 25gb disk takes less than 15 mind.

Fonctionne bien pour graver des BD et BD-RE, je n’ai pas testé avec les BD 50go. J’utilise imgburn pour graver et tout semble bien marcher, pareil pour les MDISCS.

The product is good but.
I was only sent the blue ray writer not in the original box and other accessories. I think the drive comes packaged in a box with software, SATA cables, manual etc. I didn’t get all that, had to use the SATA cables of my previous drive. It’s not good not to send it in its ordinal package from the manufacturer.
