I have an Asus Z170 Pro motherboard that has 4 SATA Ports in my motherboard and all was occupied. Then I plan to purchase the expansion card (i.e., PCIe X1 to SATA 3 with 4 ports). It works fine.
Following are the points that I like in the card: Cons: 1. The card is Plug and plays, no need to install any 3rd party drivers. 2. Getting the same speed as my motherboard SATA port. 3. 4 ports in a single card. Pros: 1. No SATA Cables. 2. No vent in the bracket for hot air pass.
But Overall it works fine on my PC.
