Bought this to swap out failing fans on my GTX 970. They worked great, but one of the wires was WAY too long and required some creative routing. In the end I figured it out, but just a heads up it’s kind of a pain to get it routed correctly. Otherwise the fans work great, have been using them for over a year now with no issue.

One of the fans on my Zotac GTX970 completely froze up. I did some research on the fan model number and that eventually led me to this product. These seem to move just as much air and are just as quiet as the original fans on my Zotac. The only problem is that the cables are too long. The Zotac card has a small PCB mounted to the heatsink which serves as a Y-adapter to attach the 2 fans with very short cables to a single connector on the main PCB. These fans have a Y-adapter already built-in to their fairly long cables. I just removed the small PCB and routed the long cables outside of the heatsink shroud to keep them away from the fans. I believe the cables could be carefully tucked under the heatsink shroud for a completely clean look, but I wasn’t concerned with the small loop of cable hanging out.

My Zotac 970GTX fans were failing and causing a lot of squealing, humming and sometimes, just didn’t spin. I ordered this and boom! It’s like magic – my fans work, it’s not loud and we are off to the races. This was pure perfection. I will admit though, the power leads are quite long and there had to be some strategy to make sure they weren’t in the way. The overall score? 4 Stars!
