This thing is no joke. Keeps my Epyc 7713 under 60C during max load, despite pulling nearly 250W.
This cooler has two downsides buyers should be aware of:
(1) It is huge (Vertically) it will not fit in a 4U server case. You should set your case on it’s side with this cooler mounted. (2) You likely will need to take the fans off until after mounting, and seating your RAM. The brackets for the fan(s) are a pain to deal with, and you will likely have to struggle to get them back on if your case is tight.
Other than that, this is the best performing air CPU cooler you can get for your home server. Another plus is that it is whisper quiet!
I live in a hot place and so far using water cooling, I had to underclock my threadripper 3960x so as not to overheat it. Not anymore. The inbuilt thermal paste is also good enough. Really silent, great product 10/10.
Note: Wear a glove while mounting, the fins are sharp, I nicked my hand on it.

Using it on a Ryzen 9 5900x. Idle temps: ~45C (ambient 35C). Peak temps with moderate PBO: 76C. I’d recommend this over an AIO for long term, sustained usage unless you’re an extreme overclocker.
Pros: – Impeccable quality from Noctua – best in class! – Silent operation
Cons: – Received an unsealed, open box. This one’s on Amazon – Make sure your case has 170mm of clearance or more if you want to mount both fans. With just the one fan 165mm is enough

Awesome product… Only issue could be it’s humungus size as it leaves little space for graphic card or ram.. So look out if the motherboard and cabinet can accommodate it…
Adquirà el disipador para un armado mini-ITX en un gabinete Fractal Design Terra con una motherboard ROG Strix Z690-I Gaming Wifi. A pesar de que en las especificaciones del gabinete se indica que acepta disipadores de hasta 77mm de alto, y de que en las especificaciones del NH-L12S se indica que mide de alto 70mm (en la configuración con el ventilador en la parte de arriba), no cupo en el gabinete. Al instalarlo el panel lateral del gabinete no cierra. El disipador sobresale no permitiendo cerrar el panel. Aquà debe haber un error en las caracterÃsticas ya sea del gabinete o del disipador.
itv was delivered on time. good packaging. very easy to understand installation manual.
have not used the pc for gaming. but from my use of the computer as a development machine, which sees heavy compilation and other cpu intense tasks, my i9 1200k temps hardly beach 40C.

So here’s my in depth review of this cooler…. see I’m more of a performance and reliability type of a guy so I bought this instead of a liquid cooler even though they’re in same price range of 10K. and damn….I was surprised by the size of it and yes the quality it’s not just quality it’s QUALITY you can guess now. It’s an air cooler so there might be a few temperature spikes bcz of flow of heat but that’s not a problem bcz it’s an air cooler but ones you start to play game OR under full load it won’t go above like (in games like COD MW 2 and cyberpunk 60 65 ) and core work for like 70 highest that much I’ve noticed…. and so far I’m happy with it’s performance and Yes I’m using a 5900X so it’s a Powerful Beast and yes there’s a little noise but not that much it’s actually quite if you adjust the curves and yes you do need a lot of air flow for it bcz it’s completely based on air flow so you will need a back case fan too.

I am using this for my Ryzen 5 3600. The stock wraith cooler was giving me 85 at full load and even a slight overclock hits the 95C. I live in a hot and humid environment. After using NH D15, at full load I am getting temps between 55 to 60 with precision boost applied. No load temps is at 37 to 45 (temp in Celsius). Nothing surprising . It definitely keeps 6 cores way below the max temp at full load plus giving plenty of space for overclock.

this air cooler by noctua just ticks all the boxes, its really efficient if not used on a overclocked cpu, it is SUUPPPPEERRR silent, even on the full speed fan profile it is almost audible if u concentrate on the noise of it alone, currently i am running this on a 5600x and in cinebench r23 under all core load it still maintained 75-80 degrees celsius, in games like gta 5 with all the graphic settings at ultra and scalling distance at full the cooler managed to keep the cpu cool by not letting it exceed 65 degrees celsius 🤯. just happy with this purchase but the con being that it hit 90+ degrees with slight overclocking so i would not recommend this air cooler for overclocking but for daily usage and multiapplication and heavy gaming /streaming this cooler is perfect and veeryy easy to install, this cooler is just in all senses 🤩 PERFECT.

Fuera de ese detalle, le otorgó 5 estrellas ya que el desempeño del disipador es fantástico. Noctua es lo mejor qué hay en disipadores de aire.
