This so cheap and poor in quality. Never buy this product. This product does not have return policy. Before this product i have worked on many DMD display like 32×16, 8x8x4 but This single module of 8x8x4 so much of current that your Arduino will get damage. You need to put external power supply but make sure it will again consume more current so your Arduino board will start heating up. Buy at your own risk. I personally prefer not buy this DMD display. Very poor…. disappointment 🙁 wasted my Rs. 660

Excellent led dot matrix display for projects.
It’s adequately bright.
Used it to make a live YouTube subscriber counter using esp8266 module.
Been using continuously for 2 weeks and no issues.

At first I was quite disappointed that I bought this despite of a lot of negative reviews but thanks to a few users who had left not only positive reviews but also the exact specs to use. I used the MD_Parola library and replaced the Parola_HW with FC16_HW and it worked !

This product was good for quite few days but then started showing problems … Ome of the LED’s went out … This is quite good for prototype but not recommended for stable versions.

Works as intended. The usual issue with this 4-in-1 unit may be the use of library and code examples meant for different hardware. This may appear like four consecutive FC-16 units but it’s a different hardware. Use Parola library with the following constructor:
MD_MAX72XX::ICSTATION_HW
#define MAX_DEVICES 4
Make note of ‘4’ for max devices, since these are 4 individual units.

I intended to make a simple clock. So got two of these and set it up with ESP8266 to get a 16×32 size display. The double size make it a great addition to the room and visibility during day and night is great.
