Raspberry Pi Plastic 3-Case Official Case for Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Only (Raspberry and White)

Should buy one of these for your raspberry pi. Without the case it seems a little fragile and it heats up when we use it so its hard to hold the board without a case. Also the ports seem fragile without the case.
Sturdy material. Looks good too.
Fits perfectly with my raspberry pi 3 B+.

It should be included with pi board as it enhances the safety and look of the board. Fits perfectly to my pi 3b+. I don’t cover my pi with upper lid to keep it cool. I think fan and heat sink is just a feel good factor, doesn’t make any difference if pi really heating up. And I also didn’t receive that free heat sink…if there was any

Muy bonita y útil carcasa para Raspberry PI. Yo concretamente adquirí una raspberry PI 3b+ y encaja perfectamente y queda todo genial. El producto es tal cual se ve en la foto, con sus respectivas salidas. Trae también unos antideslizantes para colocar a modo de pata en las 4 esquinas de la carcasa, que añade un poco más de seguridad a dicha carcasa.

El montaje es muy fácil, incluso para gente que no sea muy manitas.
Lo único malo que podría achacar, pero me parece injusto achacarlos a la carcasa, es que cuando se usa la Raspberry se calienta demasiado, ya que no tiene ningún Aircooling ‘de serie’. Aun así, por sacarlo algo malo, porque creo que no lo tiene.
Muy buen producto a un precio lógico. Lo volvería a comprar.

good quality product

Running HASSIO on a Raspberry Pi currently hidden in a cupboard. After a couple of months running the Pi on top of the cardboard box it arrived in, I decided to house it properly to match my other smart hubs that don’t expose the electronics.

There are many cases available, however I went for the official one as I quite liked the colour combinationnof red and white and have been thoroughly impressed with the reliability of the Pi so far.

The Pi 3 is a nice fit inside the case, I disassembled all the panels before putting it in and as I don’t believe my pi runs that hot, put all the panels back on again for visuals (despite hiding it in a cupboard). The panels themselves detach easily, but don’t feel like they would come off at any time.

The various inputs and outputs on the Pi all have their own cutouts and there are 2 small light outputs from the Pi also. The MicroSD is also accessible from outside the case.

All in all, a great product, nicely thought out, cheap and well built. Good looking and serves a purpose.

Update 05/07.
I’ve taken the top cover off of the case and seen temperatures drop by 10 degrees on my Pi. Hardly surprising as the box is relatively sealed with all panels on. As it resides in a cupboard for me, no issues and it’s hardly seen anyway. I’m happy with the main case shell and the side panels however as it prevents the Pi just sitting on the shelf with no protection.
