I think this is the latest review about that product (on Feb 8,2024). The product works fine for 2 charge cycle, but on the 3rd charging cycle it suddenly drains from 45% to 8% within seconds. Please don’t buy it. It stops working properly in 3 days.

Writing this review from my mac air after just replacing the battery. This is my second battery of this company for my same mac air. The first battery worked for more than a year. You can’t expect it to be better because the company battery costs more than 12,000 and the warranty given for it is for 3 months only. Hope this battery will also last for more than a year. And the battery life will be around 2 to 3 hours (with the previous replaced battery experience.) Correction: This new battery is lasting for around 3.5 hours.

After Fitting the battery the device wouldn’t recognise it and showed an icon with cross on the battery icon so I asked for a replacement
The replacement battery arrived quick but after Fitting this battery although the device recognised it it wouldn’t charge and the battery was fixed at 76% and laptop ran incredibly slow
I tried all kinds of resets including PRAM and SMC but it won’t work so I went to an authorised repair shop got an original Battery although a bit costly it is working fine.
And I ended up wasting money on a battery I can’t use

I recently purchased the Laplife Laptop Battery for my MacBook Air 13 (2012), and my experience has been a mix of satisfaction and disappointment.
Let’s start with the positive aspects. After the second power cycle, the Laplife battery has been providing me with around 4 hours of backup, which is a significant improvement over my old battery. This extended battery life has given my MacBook Air a new lease on life, and I’m pleased with the overall performance boost.
However, my enthusiasm is dampened by the fact that the “service recommendation” feature is not updating as expected. The non-Apple original status of the battery seems to be causing a disconnect, preventing accurate service recommendations from being displayed on my laptop. While this doesn’t affect the battery’s actual performance, it’s an inconvenience and a deviation from the seamless integration I expected.
The installation process was relatively straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions provided. The package included the necessary tools, which made the replacement process easier. The Laplife battery itself feels well-made, and I appreciate the affordable price point compared to Apple’s original batteries.
On the downside, the lack of proper service recommendation updates is a concern, especially for those who rely on accurate information about their battery health. It would be great if Laplife could address this issue through firmware updates or improved compatibility.
In conclusion, if you’re primarily seeking improved battery life and performance for your MacBook Air, the Laplife Laptop Battery delivers. However, be aware that the service recommendation feature may not work as expected due to its non-Apple origin. If this is a crucial aspect for you, it might be worth considering other options. Overall, a decent purchase with room for improvement.

Battery charges fine. Battery backup at 50% screen brightness, no external device attached, normal browsing & word processing related work delivered a backup of 5 hours. (100 % to 30%)
