Hi there I recently got this Cosmic Byte Gaming pad , it is a newly launched brand with exciting products.
In the Box you get – 1) Asteroid Laptop cooler 2) User Manual 3) Braided USB to USB cable
Build and Overview – —————- This Asteroid cooling pad is a premium one from cosmic byte and hence the Build quality is also very good , Front mesh grill is full metal and very sturdy, alongside ABS Plastic all around. on the left hand side we get 2 USB ports where 1 will be used for powering it on and another one can transfer data via connecting any usb device which means you don’t loose any usb port on the laptop. also there are 2 sliders which controls the fan speed , 1 controls the top 3 fans and second one controls bottom 2 fans, so if you want you can keep only 2 fans on and vice versa . It has got 4 legs and can be adjusted to 7 levels of inclination for your perfect viewing experience and cooling at the same time. There are 4 80 mm fans along with 1 big 140mm fan which keeps everything cool
It easily holds my 15.6 inch dell on it , and it handles even the heavy laptops without any worry . The rubber pads makes sure grip is good. You also get a plastic panel behind the cooler which can be detached and installed at the chin to make the laptop even more secure as you can see in the pictures
Cooling and Fan noise – ——————–
I have to say it is a very quiet cooling setup , even after running all the 5 fans at max speed it was still silent then the laptops internal fans . And even if you feel the noise is high you can adjust that via the fan speed adjuster. The Cooling is very efficient , with just 4 watts of consumption it can bring the internal temp to about 5-7 degree low and that results in good gaming experience . Overall it gets the job done very silently which makes it a good buy.
Also the Led lights makes it look good in the dark , i bought the red color and it is bright.
Without a doubt buy it

All the five fans worked perfectly noiselessly. There are two separate USB ports. One of which is to power-u p the fans.
The adjustable height setting is simple but very effective. Propping up the screen to a convenient vertical angle greatly reduces the stress on the neck muscles, as there is no need to look down anymore. With the varying height settings, now the user has to look straight, or even up, as per personal preferences.
The LED lights which light up when the fans are switched on are functional as they show when and which of the fans are working. Without the LED references it would be quite hard to see which fans are working and which ones are not.
There are two fan operating switches to control the fan speeds (not that it makes any difference, really). One starts and stops the top three fans. The second switch, the bottom two.
As captioned, the entire contraption is very fragile and delicate. The design is as basic as it can get. Hope and trust that it lasts for at least one year without getting damaged or broken. If it does, then it would be well worth the price paid.

I saw a significant decrease in temps on highest settings of fan In some games I played the temps were around 60-80 degrees in single player games with live streaming on OBS for twitch. my normal temps used to be around 85 degrees without cooling pad. while playing multiplayer games like dota 2 it was around around 65 degrees without livestreaming workload so I can’t say much it all depends on what your playing or working on but yes the temps when in normal use of laptop are around 52-55 degrees with internal fan boost of laptop upto 50% which is my idle settings + the highest setting of cooling pad. before , I used to use amazonbasics laptop stand which gave almost same results but recently my temps jumped to 65-68 degrees in idle modes, and it wouldn’t go back to normal, So I had no choice but to get this and I guess it serves its purpose. The plastic material is not that strong on the bottom, but it will get the job done. abs metal mesh on the top is fine my laptop doesn’t skid much, so it does what it says in the description There are two rolling switches on the right hand side, one for lower two fans and one for middle and top fans you can switch off the lower fans if you don’t have a air intake vents on lower part of your laptop, I do cuz mine has 4 vents, 1 in middle and 1 top middle and 2 on the left and right , which is normal on most modern gaming laptops. check your laptop vents before buying this, and I have connected the usb cable of this pad on a tp link usb hub powered by ac adaptor.
This cooling pad was on sale for Rs.1349 before amazon sale but I missed my chance I had to settle for Rs 1699 very steep price for a Non digital cooling pad with 4 fans 80mm and middle fan 140mm. Buy it on Sale if you can or if its urgent get it like me. Very few choices right now because of the covid times I could have gone for two fan cooling pads but because extra fans assures better cooling, longer life for a gaming laptop that costs a way too much.
