Its working Perfect. But you need to buy 2 Monitor Cable and 2 USB Cables Extra . its coming only that device. Also PC1 should be switch ON, then only you will get the INDICATION Lamp, other wise it will work without indication lamp.

This item was delivered very quickly, way before the expected date. +1 to that.
With respect to the device itself, I was a little wary when ordering this product. I have used KVM switches earlier, those from name brand companies like IOGEAR et al.
Wasn’t sure how this generic device would fare. The major doubt that I had was how the monitor would behave. I have all sorts of weird, cross-bred
platform/OS configurations one can imagine. My main machine is a multi-boot with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Ubuntu 16. While I also heavily play around
with Raspberry Pi/Raspian, a few Thin Clients and antiquated Windows XP and 98 machines. In an unexectedly pleasant way, this device played nice with all my
weird setups that I have tried until now, in the last 2 days. Shall jot down all the scenarios where it could have
acted up ( given it’s cheap price), but decided to work like a champ.
1. In all setups, be it Win 7/8 & XP Ubuntu 16 and Raspian, the OS managed to detect the monitor that was routed by this KVM.
So, the OS scaling down to some generic resolutions wasn’t an iusse. All the OS picked up the native resolution of the monitor and image adjustment wasn’t an issue.
— Yes did have flickering issue on Windows/Ubuntu/Raspian, but pumping the refresh rate upto 75Hz from the native 60Hz of my monitor
took care of the flickering issue.
— There seems to be a bug in Ubuntu 16, in that it doesn’t display refresh rate nor an option to set it. Setting the resolution
to a silly lesser resolution applying it and then reverting back to the desired ( native resolution of the monitor) took care
of the flickering in Ubuntu 16.
2. This device plays pretty well with BIOS, before the OS takes over. Didn’t have any issues.
3. A few reviewers have posted that it needs the PC1 to be constantly powered on to function. My experience says that
it can draw power from any one of the machines, whichever is powered on. One doesn’t need PC1 to be constantly powered nor one needs a powered USB hub.
That was one of the concerns that I had, but I am glad that’s a non-issue.
4. This device also works with PS2 Keyboard and Mouse hooked up through one of those cheap PS2 Keyboard and Mouse to USB converters.
— The upside to using such an adapter is that you save an extra USB port on the KVM. Very handly if you need that extra USB port to share between two machines.
5. The extra 3rd USB port is a bonus. One can use a USB pen drive to quickly swap through two machines. Very handy when setting up a machine anew and need to transfer bootstrapping drivers and essential softwares quickly.
6. Some reviewers did mention that there’s a little lag while switching between machines. Well, I didn’t notice that would be a deal breaker. I guess the lag would be somewhere around 10~15 microseconds.
Coming to the cons.
1.Yes the display looks a little washed up. My guess is that it could be either because of the KVM multiplexer chip in the device or the signal loss or noise due to the longer VGA cable runs. My next target is to replace all 3 VGA cables with shorter cables.
Even if it doesn’t improve the display, it would reduce the wire clutter significantly.
2. Yes, you don’t get those USB Type A male to USB Type B male cables. But, hey don’t we all have those cables lying in some drawer or electronic junk bin.
Summary
This is not the best KVM switch that money can buy. But, definitely it’s the best at this cost, given that exactly the same device are listed by other sellers here on Amazon and elsewhere at almost double the price listed here.
I have never answered any questions on Amazon, don’t really know how it works. But, would be glad if anyone needs to know anything before ordering this product.
It’s been just two days since I have been using this KVM switch. Would come back and update my review if anything comes up.

I bought this to use two laptops and a monitor with the USB keyboard mouse. I connected the monitor through VGA cable and laptops through VGA to HDMI cable. Provided one USB power input. Tried to connect a hub but iam unable to use my keyboard mouse in either of the machines.

Writing this review to share proper information about the product,
***** 5 star.
I am using this product for seamlessly switching between 2 nos. PC, one win 10 & other win 7 with single keyboard & mouse. Firstly, 2 nos. USB printer cable (USB A to B male cable) is needed to energize the item from both sides. Connect one cable from each 2 nos. PC to the device (PC1 & PC2 side). Connect VGA cables as shown. Connect keyboard on any one side USB & mouse on other side USB (USB1 & USB2 side). Do not connect anything on “USB console” port.
I was worried whether it will work for win 10 & win 7 PC, as it is written on the USER MANUAL inside box that it works only for DOSKWin3.X, Win95/98/98SE/2000/ME/XP, WinNT, NETware, Unix, Linux. But it is working fine with proper connection as described above.

The build is OK.but it does not fulfill the requirements for which it was purchased. The monitors connect perfectly, but the USB ports are not working. thus the facilty of using single keyboard to connect to two computers is therefore defeated. moreover, I found out only after I received the product that this product is not returnable. SO DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Even though its a simple device, its one of the most useful gadget I have bought from Amazon. During lock down – work from home, I have to use the laptop continuously, which is kept along with my desktop PC in a Computer table. The height of the table caused ergonomic issues while using Laptop which resulted in heavy strain with hands and spines. But I don’t like to add a mess in my computer table by adding a separate keyboard for Laptop.
Then I decided to buy a KVM switch. Initially I was really skeptical to buy this device by going through the comments, but decided to go ahead. I received the device in before the committed date. I tried using the keyboard and the mouse, both are working well. It works well even if either of the PC is switched off. Never tried the video as I don’t have a use. There is a slight delay in switching between PCs (few seconds), probably because of USB device recognition, but its acceptable.
If you like to reduce the number of devices in your desktop, go ahead.
