Hey people just to give a heads up, do not buy for iMac 2021 M1, as it does not work, after doing whatever you can, I used a WD Green 240 GB SSD, It works amazingly for windows PC, Laptop, and Mobiles, But not for my iMac atleast. my porpose not solved. thanks. Sad to return.

The best qualities are USC C and ease of installation! Because of the way we could install, we could always change disks much quickly. It’s little on the costly side but it just works and I won’t complaint for that. The cAse is durable and built quality is very good.

Product satisfy the requirement. Transfer speed is very good if you have compatible HDD/SDD. Light weight, type C usb facility is very useful and the cable provide was very nice quality.

I came across this after a lot of comparison and reviews and decided to for it when they openly declared the ssd controller to be ASM235M (for those who don’t know, it means a lot) on top of supporting UASP
Now I’m using this with an 8TB samsung 870 qvo ssd which is qlc based, so as long as the ssd gives cache, which is for the initial 42 gbs of data written, this case gives a blazing fast 2.8Gbps (Gigabit/s ~ 350 MBps MegaByte/s)
But it can do this in reverse endlessly as when I try to read data from it when there is no bottleneck of writing to a cache to achieve those speeds, it sustains that 2.8Gbps speed all the way without much difficulty.
Also, this the only 3.1 gen 2 (equivalent to 3.2 gen 2, stupid usb org and their naming conventions) in this range that I could find.
There’s also the issue with heat dissipation when ssds are put in sustained loads, and this has fairly non airtight design with thinner plastics which helps dissipate the heat quickly rather than allowing the ssd to build up and cook in its own heat.
I’m using this with XBOX Series X and it works perfectly. I play most of my games straight off my ext ssd and they are about as fast as they would be on the internal drive

These are so AWESOME!! simply open the case, slide your SSD into the form fit guide until it connects, then put the top back on! My motherboard has an external USB-C, so I connected it to this device and instantly up pops my drive!!
SO much better than a USB-A device I was using before where you plug the drive in, and SO MUCH faster!! It feels like such a simple device, but it’s so elegant and seamless!! No drivers to install, no software, just connect to your computer!
BTW, I bought these in 2020 with intensions of using them, but I upgraded my computer and installed 6 SSDs…now I’ve further added 2 more SSDs to my computer, and I’m just using them 12-31-2024 with two 256GB drives as backup drives for priceless photos and documents…
I cannot say enough about these!! When I upgrade future SSD drives and remove them from my computer, I’ll definitely buy more of these to use for my SSDs of less capacity but for more critical backup purposes!!
If you have extra SSDs laying around and a USB-C external connection on your computer/motherboard, GET ONE OF THESE!!
**Again I bought these in 2020 and they came with a USB-A to USB-C cable…obviously you will slow down to USB-A if you use that cable, so unless they are now including USB-C to USB-C, you will be best to purchase a USB-C to USB-C cable for faster transfer rates!! I haven’t tried the USB-A to USB-C cable included with the device, as I purchased a USB-C to USB-C cable from Amazon and when I plugged it into my computer’s USB-C external port, it worked instantly!!***
