came with so cheap quality plastic that it got damaged only while installing hdd on it
giving only 27mb/s on write and 40mb/s on read;
useless with usb 2.0
i should have taken usb 3.0 with 1gbps; i regret purchasing it and it has no return option too,

Nice product, a good value for money. I find it very weak and found it also slow while transporting data, not sure why it is like that, coz my hard disk was all working fine on laptop. I replaced it because I wanted to install higher configuration disk.
But overall a good product to keep your disk safe and continue using it!

Too tight for the HDD, doesn’t work with case on, had to change every part to find out at last that the cover was not allowing it to perform right. Hope the manufacturer reads this

First I bought a USB to SATA adapter cable in Amazon and when connected to my 160 GB Hard disk, I got continuous beep sounds and I saw some videos in Youtube, came to know the issue might be with Hard disk, the read-write head might be stuck on the Platter and I ended up opening the hard disk and found everything was normal since its the only Seagate working Hard disk running perfectly without any issues since 2007. Then I concluded issue is with the adapter cable and I returned it and bought this very good product. I inserted my Hard disk to the casing and connected to my laptop, my old Hard disk picked up the signal and working very well and I took my backup successfully. The USB cable is with v2.0 but the quality is very good. My suggestion is don’t buy cheap and mid-level USB to SATA adapter cables here,they are not at all working.
