As per my knowledge, I ordered 20+ Orico and rts internal drive enclosures form 2019. even Me as an IT Technical Support executive, recently i brought 2 Orico casings for my clients. There were satisfied with those casings. sometimes high price bothering me. I don’t care. Endurance of this product super and if you want extra protection use Tizum cover which i brought 4 times, 2 for me, and rest for my friends.

I would recommend not to purchase it. It isn’t worth buying. It takes hours to transfer data via this Cable/Case, even if it is mere 2 or 3 GB Data and then other hour to delete or transfer data back. It’s simply waste of money and time. Don’t go for it.

The enclosure is made of decent-quality plastic materials and it is very easy to use. Simply insert your hard drive or SSD into the enclosure, connect it to your computer with the included USB cable, and you’re good to go!
The enclosure supports UASP, which can significantly improve the transfer speeds of your hard drive or SSD. I have been very impressed with the performance of the enclosure. I can easily transfer large files from my laptop to the enclosure and vice versa.
Overall, I am very happy with the ORICO 2.5-inch External Hard Drive Enclosure. It is a great way to expand your storage and it is very easy to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an external hard drive enclosure.

Using it with my wd green 240gb SSD and finding good speeds. Cable quality is not the best and the case plastic feels very light, only time will tell how durable the overall build quality is. This is 5gbps version but I don’t think 6gbps version will give a large boost to the speeds so I’ll recommend to go for this one as it is significantly cheaper. Unless you want a type c connection specifically then going for 6gbps enclosure makes more sense otherwise this one is good value for money.
This enclosure would benefit from more detailed directions on installing a HD inside of it. For example, this comes with thin foam cushions with one self-adhesive side. If you are handy and have some experience working with hands-on projects, this is very easy to figure out. Still, many customers are not so inclined. Those folks would benefit from say, clear diagrams or at least detailed instructions for installation. The molded plastic material seems adequate, but at the same time, it seems, er – plastic-y, and a little cheapo. It looks like it will do the trick. But for extended use while travelling, you might want to level-up to an aluminum enclosure.

The first few times, the enclosure is difficult to open. I couldn’t hold on to it. It was slipping from my grasp like a fish. After opening it a dozen or so times, I can hang on to the enclosure and It gives a distinct pop when the cover has released. Very easy to insert a drive and secure the cover. Connects to my computer and works without any problems.
