I purchased this adjustable mount to hold a cell phone. I’m using the video camera on an old cell phone to record videos. This arm style mount holds the camera perfectly still. The holder for the cell phone barely fits my phone so those super gigantic phones will not fit in the phone holder clip.
I position the arm then tighten the two wing nuts to hold the arm stationary. I can swing the arm all around and pivot the cell phone holder in almost any direction I want. No need for two different camera mounts. I can also mount my digital SIR camera on the adapter mount.
This is actually a microphone stand that has the cell phone attachment added in. It is high quality and sturdy. I wish I could say the same for my desk lamp that is the same style but not the same quality. If you don’t need the cell phone camera mount search microphone stands for a possible better deal.
I highly recommend this stand for any of the above uses.

Overview
I’ve been looking for a decent arm I can use with my cell phone when reviewing. I needed it to face my camera down so I have both hands free. This arm does that, and it does it without sagging or other problems.
It is made of very lightweight material, but it didn’t deform when adjusting. That is, it’s light weight, but solid.
If needed, you can secure the entire arm. There are knobs on both the camera mount and the arms main joint that will immobilize the arm and prevent it from sagging. However, I did not need to use them, even with my cell phone mounted. It didn’t sag at all with my phone mounted.
If you are looking for an inexpensive arm to hold your webcam or phone, this will work just fine.
FUNCTION
The arm has a nice range of motion. It allows a top down angle for your cam. The arm never sagged on me.
DESIGN
Lightweight, but sturdy. It has three locking knobs to secure the arm without movement. Plastic bushing in the pin and receiver section makes horizontal movement smooth.
FIT, FINISH AND QUALITY
See negatives. Over all, a didn’t really see any quality problems.
VALUE
At $20.00, this arm will do what you need it to do with a web cam or cell phone, and is a good value.
DESIGN
I only have two concerns here, and neither one is really a negative. First, it would have been better to have a slide though mounting knob for close mounting applications (see video). Second, there was a little too much slop in the pin and receiver clamp. It didn’t cause any problems.
CONCLUSION AND FINAL THOUGHTS
I was looking for a cell phone camera mount that would allow me to have my camera looking down. That way I can do reviews or other tasks and have both hands free. This arm does that very well. I didn’t experience any sagging, the arm moves freely to all positions, and it has good reach.
This product met expectations.

It came used and missing parts. The phone holder and the attachment clamp. It’s upsetting, because now I have to drive a couple of miles to Khol’s to return it and waste my gas.
