For the price it is a value buy, the sound is decent for a small room and sitting near buy, since it is refurbished, I cannot say about its life or continuation of performance

This sound bar feels solid. The front is made of metal mesh. The volume control is the one that is seen in many headphones. It has a USB pin for power and 3.5 mm pin for audio. It can be powered either from laptop USB port or an old 5V phone charger lying around.
Initially I wanted to buy stereo speakers. I had creative 2.0 speakers in the past. Couldn’t find anything that looks classic. All the speakers in the budget range has alien like styling and unnecessary RGB which looks good in the photo, but not in real life. Artis mini was a primary choice, but ditched that since I wanted a no clutter desk space with all the wires going through 2 grommets. So went for a sound bar instead.
It sounds way louder and better than the integrated laptop speakers. But the sound was a bit ‘boomy’ when I played it for the first time. It sounded like TV speakers that ‘booms’ when male voice with a bit of depth is played. Tweaked the 250Hz equalizer slightly down in the laptop Audio control panel. It is good for me now. This sound bar is primarily used for voice calls, and a little bit of music in the background while I work. So it serves the purpose.
Although refurbished, it came in excellent condition with all plastic sheets still sticking to the speaker. Maybe because of the boomy mid range that people are returning it without giving a second chance.
