Received package with open condition, No Amazon packing standards were followed by the supplier. The sound quality is average, only suitable for online classes for children’s. Not suitable for movies and songs doesn’t have bass. Not happy with packaging.

Artis is a well-known audio brand from India, which is now operating in the computer audio and home-theatre audio space. Their products are affordable and perform very well. Earlier, I had purchased the Artis Mini speakers which were surprisingly affordable and loud.
The S9 series speakers are also reasonably priced and if anything, Louder!. There is a bit of bass in the sound made by these speakers. Definitely noticeable compared to Artis Mini and even F&D soundbars. The speakers are slightly bigger than the Artis Mini, but still compact enough to be placed under a monitor.
Power is via USB and audio-in is via Headphone-out from the Laptop. I used an external Mobile-phone charger to provide power to the speakers to avoid overdraw from the Laptop’s USB ports.
Overall, these speakers do not disappoint for casual music, movies, gaming. Don’t expect home-theatre quality sound and you will be fine. If your Laptop audio has an equalizer option, using that to tweak the sound to your liking will be a good idea.
Most importantly, these speakers will save your Laptop speakers from getting damaged as you try to run them at 100%, trying to hear the faint audio they produce. The Artis speakers are loud enough, that your neighbours can hum along to the music you are playing.

For those with a keen sense of sound, the speakers may sound mediocre till you enable the graphic equalizer on your laptop/PC and customize sharpness and bass settings. Only then will it sound better. You will have to adjust settings across various genre of music and movies to your preference. The speakers do have a good tone as I believe they have a wide frequency range, and don’t sound tinny or shallow. However, there is no bass, so please don’t go by the claims made in any adds of ‘super bass’ or whatever they call it, for speakers of this size. I enclosed my speakers in a cardboard box to have them always at a fixed distance on my desk, collect more sound and also hide the wires from view.
