I just purchased another usb microphone as a gift for dear friends. We had such a great experience with the two we purchased for our Zoom meetings. This too, greatly improved their sound quality and especially the omni directional and voice pick up from the sides and direction.. Everyone noticed right away that was listening.

I was pleasantly surprised how well this mic worked for the price point; compared to the built-in mic that might come with your computer or the mic in your phone, it’s a HUGE upgrade, and it’s simple to use!
Since I’m a recording artist, I thought I’d try using the mic with some musical application (which you can see in the video I posted). For vocals, the recording quality is quite good, but because the voice is so dynamic, the volume is inconsistent, so you would need a lot of compression to make it work. However, the acoustic guitar is not as dynamic, and just from a quick setup, I was able to get some pretty good sounds. If you took the time to record with proper room treatment and strategic mic placement, you could totally get a usable acoustic guitar recording. If you had an “on-the-go” studio with just a laptop, headphones, and interface, this would be a very affordable addition to your set up!
