I have loved these as an alternative to the missing MagSafe charging port on some models of my business laptops. However, I have had a few failures with bent connection “pins” after a while. Since I use these primarily for charging rather than data and they keep working for that, I only notice the damage after the connectors start to become tighter. That is, they are harder to connect and don’t release as easily. This may come from external factors such as a minor bend in the housing rather than simple connect/disconnect cycling, but it does indicate that they aren’t fool-proof.
In my experience they last long enough that replacing the damaged ones isn’t that annoying and I’d rather these wear out or be damaged than the original ports and cables.
